I have mounted on my 7.62x39 8” AR style custom build pistol to test the recoil resistance. Honestly I have so many different optical failures in past experience. Utg seemed a very reputable and quality source of AR parts manufacturer that I have purchased a number of parts in past months. UTG red dot did a good job during my previous 3times range shooting test on 7.62x39 and it has been holding zero so far after 150 rounds shooting. Normally I would test my optical on my 308 rifle, if it passes recoil on 308, then it would definitely work well on other calibers. But now 308 ammo is really too expensive during nationwide Ammo shortage that made me test it on 7.62x39 pistol which is shorter version of 308 but still with significant recoil. The result is satisfactory so far but time will tell the final quality of workmanship.
