I ordered 5 of these: 380acp, 9mm, 40s&w, 556/223, 12ga - all SightMark. I simply could not get them to turn on. I purchased brand new batteries and checked all the springs/connections. I opened up three of them, couldn't get any of them to turn on, searched the internets and found it to be a way-too-common problem. Returned the three I received and canceled the two others before they shipped. Supreme disappointment.

I ordered two: one for the Sig P365XL (True Precision barrel) and one for the Kriss Vector. The both slide right on and fit perfectly. I'm still awaiting the suppressor so I can't speak to how it feels attaching the can just yet. But so far so good!

BOTH UNITS ORDERED:
I bought the SL20 (non-biometric version) from OP and a NSL20i (biometric version) from another site. The NSL20i came first and I set it up with no problems other than not being able to connect to my phone's app via bluetooth. No biggie but still kinda disappointed. If you go to your app store and read the reviews, you'll see Vaultek is kinda a hot mess with various apps and it's unclear as to which app does which function. Either way, it simply wouldn't connect and I don't care enough to try contacting support right now. It is worth noting that without the app/bluetooth connection, you can't use the Smartkey Nano button. I leave the concept of using a one-press button to open your gun safe up to you - you better squirrel that thing away somewhere no child can find. The Smartkey Nano button is a separate purchase, FYI.

THE NSL20i CASE:
The case itself is super slick, very sturdy, the buttons feel great, the wall installation is easy and secure, the option to have the LED light up when you open is helpful (turn it off if you like), the sliding mechanism is super smooth, the process to reprogram the master code is simple, the process to program your fingerprints is easy. Do your research on what can fit inside, though. Optics and flashlight attachments may limit your choices. Most of the negative reviews state that it didn't turn on straight out of the box. So imagine my disappointment after waiting for weeks to receive this and for it not to turn on. Messed with the battery, checked the connections, read the manual, followed directions, searched internet for ideas - nothing. I played with all the buttons, long press, short press, combo pressing, any variation I could think of and THEN IT TURNED ON! I have no idea what happened because by that point I didn't discover any combination or method of pressing buttons that was different from what I had tried earlier but there it is - it was on. I set up the reticle and brightness and haven't had an issue since. Turns off and on like normal, goes to sleep and awakens as it should and it just looks amazing. So don't give up if you seem to have one dead on delivery. Would the other customers that received DOA units experience similar success if they kept fiddling with it? Who's to say? Just sharing my experience. It's not like OP customer support can tell people to "just keep playing with it, it should work."

At first, I thought I might be disappointed that it was a bit on the small side (diameter, not length). Other popular handles you see on many M2's are large and round and much more noticeable. But after installing and manipulating this one a few times, I'm actually glad that it is smaller (in diameter). It sticks out far enough to get a solid grip (even with gloves). Nice and subtle, I like it. Installation is (obviously) extremely simple - no problems.

Despite waiting 6 weeks for covid back order and waiting another 17 days for shipping as the USPS took it on a tour of the country just for the lulz, I am quite pleased. Neither of those issues were Optic's fault. The barrel looks amazing and the thread is a perfect fit for my tri lug adapter. The copper color adds a little spice to an otherwise awesome P365xl although it is worth noting it isn't as bright as I expected. Still nice though.
