I built a 1911 Commander, and it came with a one piece full length guide rod. I'm a fan of full length guide rods, so I was pleased when I opened the package. Well that guide rod requires you to compress the recoil spring onto the guide rod and insert a small pin through a small hole while keeping the spring compressed. That was a lot of work, and they didn't include the pin in the build kit, so I had to manufacture one. The whole process of taking the slide off and pulling the guide rod and recoil spring was a 15-20 minute evolution. I bought this to replace the one piece guide rod, and is was well worth the money spent. Now taking the slide off, and removing the guide rod and recoil spring is a matter of 1 minute.

I bought this to fix an issue with a 1911 Commander. The original safety would allow the hammer to move about a quarter inch with the safety engaged. Since I was putting this in a custom frame, a little fitting was necessary. Take your time and go slowly when sanding/filing the safety catch.

Bought this to fix a problem on a 1911 Commander. This sear was slightly wider than the frame, so some minor sanding on the sides was needed. Once it was cut to fit, everything works perfectly. Just remember that you need to sand on the sides evenly.

I was working on a 1911 Commander, and one issue I had was the recoil spring was really heavy, and hard to pull the slide back. Installed the 12 pound recoil spring, and it's a pleasure to operate now.

I was trying to sort out a couple issues with a 1911 Commander. One issue was the trigger would move about a quarter inch with the safety engaged. I used this in conjunction with a new sear, and now when the safety is engaged, nothing moves, as it should.

Bought this to smooth out some issues with a 1911 Commander. The slide release was a 2 hand operation as well as the safety. This was a drop in part, and no gunsmithing required. I can now release the slide with one finger, and the saftey is smooth as glass. Definitely worth it.

Finish is good. Installation is not easy by any means. I tried several different grip positions, and this is just plain uncomfortable for me. It might look cool, but it isn't cool when you try to use it.
Maybe someone else might find it a great foregrip, but I just can't.

I've built several various platforms for myself and for friends. In the early days I was looking for something that worked well, and didn't break the bank. I tried more than a couple of different stocks, but when I tried this one, that was it. It's my recommendation to all my friends when we're going through the build process. It's tight on the buffer tube, operates smoothly, and locks solidly into position.

Currently working on a couple of .450 Bushmaster builds. there are a lot of magazines out there, and most are priced in the stratosphere. These are reasonably priced, and I've been using ASC products for years without any failures. Only thing I've done to these is replaced the floor plate with FDE ranger plates to more easily identify them from the 5.56 mags, and .50 Beo mags.
Don't forget to clean them once in a while, and they'll last a long time without fail.

I bought this for one of my pistol builds. Already own a couple purchased from another sight, and really like the brace. It saves a lot being the buffer tube, castle nut, and buffer tube end plate are all a part of the brace. I really like how it collapses down compact as well. Only down side is you can't use an extended takedown pin with it.
