A solid value.

I ended up buying four of these units. I'm getting old enough that my eyes just don't do well with iron sights and some sort of optics are needed. I like the size as well as the QD feature, which is (surprisingly) lacking on some of the more expensive red dots. Even on the lowest settings the dots are bright, but they work great out of doors and that is where 99% of my rifle shooting takes place. No matter how I rotate the flip-up lens caps, they are in the way so I no longer bother with them. There is a version of this red dot which has a cantilever mount that lifts the optics about 1/2". This makes sighting more comfortable, otherwise I just use a 1/2 riser and it is spot on. Although not an AGOG, I'm no longer interested in pricy optics which I am afraid to drag out into the field for fear of loss or damage. This unit offers what 95% of civilian shooter need. If you break it you are out less than forty bucks.

NcSTAR AR15 Gen2 Rail & Vertical Grip
This will allow you to install a weaver rail on the top or bottom half of an M4 forearm. The design is quite basic: remove the fore end, pop out the liner and then attach the rail with the provided hardware. Once the rail is attached, snap the liner back into place and then reinstall the hand guard. There are only two mounting screws for securing the rail. A third screw would have provided a more stable mount and is probably the reason the manufacturer recommends against using this on pump shotguns. The vertical grip is rather slender and may be a problem for those with very large hands (not me), but it attaches easily to any weaver rail. This is a simple device of decent quality and you can't beat the price.

CAA MCK Thumb Rest
My Micro Roni is a Glock 19 SBR with the front pistol grip and these thumb rests are almost mandatory to keep your thumb well away from the muzzle. Installation is as simple as sliding them onto the Micro Roni side rails; no tools are needed.

Strike Industries AR Enhanced Pistol Grip
I was looking for a grip for a low cost build and was pleased with the Strike Industries grip. I have rather small hands but this grip fit me fine. Quality looked fine: there were no sharp edges and while the texturing didn't provide a good gripping surface so if you were actually going to use your rifle when conditions are wet or slippery then you will want something else. I'm satisfied.
