Quality Control Problems

First off, GREAT trigger. I bought my first less than a year ago and put into a 6.5 grendel build. Works flawless. Nice clean break with smooth reset. This is the second one I ordered to put into a 5.56 build and took it to the range. First shot then follow up shot was just a click. Took me some time to figure out but the hammer had a giant chamfer on it where the disconnector was supposed to latch and upon reset it skipped the trigger sear putting it into a half cocked position. Luckily RISE and opticsplanet both were willing to warranty it for me so it’s getting shipped out later this week for a replacement. I hope RISE does a little better QC in the future so that this doesn’t happen again to other customers

Seems like a great barrel for the price. Doing a pin and weld and waiting on the brake and hand guard. Chrome seems to be well and evenly coated with good rifling. Only complaint is it states it’s a “mid length” gas system but clearly is a carbine length

Obsidian Arms S-Pattern Handguard, M-LOK
This is an amazing hand guard and looks great on my ar. Only thing is is it had a huge ding in the rail about an inch in. I had planned on returning it but they haven’t even refunded me for a guard I sent back weeks ago. Just be warned that if you get a damaged product it may be weeks. So end of the story. Be ready with a paint pen because there’s a good chance it’s been thrown around their warehouse
