Aggressive velcro

Written on May 02, 2025

If you want it to stay put, this is the velcro that will do it. I have to hold an ifak inflate and it does a great job

Recessed button socket

Written on May 02, 2025

This qd swivel has a slightly recessed socket surrounding the button while other brands have a level socket surrounding the bottom. As such I use it on the front point of attachment as it assists me in limiting the button from accidentally being depressed.

Heavyweight

These rings are steel and not aluminum. Subsequently if you want to cut weight from your build these are not going to help. If you want sturdy and structurally reliable, then these or the 15RLM are a good choice.

Hindsight is 20/20

Written on Aug 19, 2024

Yes, it fits and it does work as described. However, after installing it I would like it if the levers position could be laid down parallel with the optic barrel when it is not being used. There are other levers with such a feature that I should have researched further

Polymer vs Metal

Written on Aug 19, 2024

A bit more was needed to get an effective fit. At less than the suggested 15lbs of torque the T-Nuts rotated out of position and did require an additional wrench to maintain their position while tightening down the screws. While the Mount will fit a 870 for grip at the 3 and 9 position it will not fit the 6 without modificatiof the forend.

Truely not worth the money

Written on May 24, 2024

Acquired this barrel for my P365 and one for my P365 XL. Both required the recomended brake in period that the manufactuer states is 100 rounds. However, after 500 rounds, cleaning the pistol, cleaning the magazines and lubbing up the pistol I had to finally change out my Truely expensive paperweight for the factory barrel. From 500 to 800+ rounds the pistol with the factory barrel ran without issue. How do I know the specific amount of rounds I ran you wonder? I was attending a training class in Lakeview Oregon where the minimum amount you shoot per firearm is 800. While there may be customer service at True Precision, I have yet to speak with them or have them respond to my emails. There are a large number of YT videos by reputable persons who advocate the barrels, so either they all are shills or my barrel is a fluke and requires a replacement (hint, hint). Until that time I can only suggest that you acquire a barrel from another manufacturer.

Uncomfortable

Written on Mar 22, 2016

It was my intent to use this as a replacement for my old Timbuk2, but I found that the sling was not a comfortable fit for me. I suspect I have become more familiar with a messenger style pack/case, so I sent the Commuter Sling back for the Principle Briefcase & Courier. Once they arrive I pick the one that is the most comfortable as well as meets my EDC needs.

While the fit may not have been optimal to me that should in no way diminish that the bag is quality and will make anyone happy if they find the sling to be functional for them.
