Going low.

Written on Jan 05, 2024

I ordered it this set of rings after ordering the medium height rings. These rings allowed my primary arms 6.5 specific optic the lowest possible choice. These rings kept the optic up high enough to where the 44 mm objective was not touching the Remington 783 barrel and the base of the turrets up off of the rail. There was just enough clearance for the bolt to run smoothly back and forth. I've already test fired the rifle with these rings and it works flawless. Highly recommended.

LA or SA??

Written on Jan 04, 2024

Highly recommend these bases for their high precision and machining. Don't be like me and not know which base you need. I got the LA and the SA version mixed up for my Remington 783 in 6.5 creedmoor. I ordered this base and had to send it back. I needed this base but in SA. I WOULD CHECK WITH THE LEOPOLD WEBSITE FIRST.

How low to go?

Written on Jan 04, 2024

I'm a big fan of Warne rings. They're built like tanks and the machining is very good. Bought these for a primary arms optic that I was placing on a Remington 783. The rings were very good but just slightly too high for my taste. I kept these but I ended up ordering a lower set. If you're not sure on ring height I would start with a medium set. Highly recommended from somebody that actually shoots.

6.5 Creedmoor

Written on Jan 04, 2024

I installed this muzzle compensator on my Remington 783 in 6.5 creedmoor. I noticed a slight reduction in recoil but the big benefit would be the increase in accuracy. This compensator turned to my rifle into a tack driver.
