There is just something about the form factor of the SAP micro prism that I am not 100% in love with, I cant really put my finger on anything specific...otherwise, it is a perfectly capable small foot-print prism sight. The mount could stand for a few lightening cuts For its intended purpose, this is a fantastic site, essentially the same size as your average tube style red dot. The reticle is etched and illumination is good enough for day light bright. My original sight had some minor issues with a diopter that had been threaded on by the strongest of our robots, customer service was quick and very easy to deal with, the replacement had no issues at all. The site does sit a tiny bit high with the top turret, but does not necessarily increase its snag risk (if you catch a snag you're catching the entire sight, the tiny turret isnt much). Turret caps on the version i received were not tethered. Mount is a little chunkier than I would have liked but perfectly functional. This is absolutely the smallest and overall lightest prism sight available. So if youre looking for an etched reticle (for SHTF or astigmatism for example), want the smallest prism, and dont mind the chunky mount or form factor, there is no other sight out there to my knowledge that is better than the SAP.

The nitriding on the detents was uniform and deep black in color. No rust spots, no pitting, sized properly, no issues with the product itself. What does bother me slightly is that OP sells these as singles, as in one purchase gets you ONE detent...when I have previously purchased KNS detents, the baggie always came with TWO, which is what I thought I was buying.

I decided to stray from my standard Raptor and went with the Griffin Armament Snach, and I am extremely happy I did. Griffin's CH is very solidly built, with a significantly taller lip that interfaces with the upper receiver, in essence diverting any gas that might seep out of the back of the reciever. Not only is this lip taller, but this CH has another enhancement...just forward of the right side lever is a small vent hole - the length of Griffin's CH acts like a pipe, diverting any gas in the CH channel to the right of the shooter with use of this small vent. I cant believe this isnt an option on more charging handles, as it appears to be very effective at mitigating gas for the right handed shooter. Not to mention Griffin offers a short lever kit as well - hope Optics Planet will start stocking the short lever kits as well.

All in all, quality ambi CH with great innovation on a component most other companies simply overlook.

I ran through 10+ QD sling points, from all the top manufacturers, trying to find the best of the best...and finally found it at Griffin Armament.

This 45 offset QD is low profile hugging the handguard and does not protrude out like others do. Its footprint is nice and small saving rail space. The item I received did not have any white logo nor writing as depicted in the pictures for this listing. The attachment is secured in place with 2 set screws, and the entire unit is a single solid piece of steel construction. The QD point has full rotation for your sling, and since it mounts to your rail by sliding the QD point onto the pic rail from the front/back (instead of clamping on with a separate piece), then secured in place with the 2 set screws, this QD and your weapon are not going anywhere.

Thanks to Griffin for making another piece of fantastic bombproof gear. If you need an offset QD point, look no further...or actually, let me buy 3 more then you guys can buy all you want...
