Mesa Tactical is a small Nevada company that is largely devoted to producing quality, Made-In-America products for the tactical shotgun market. As I began gathering parts to build a combat shotgun, I found there were few companies that were as focused on the market as Mesa, and the breadth of their offerings proves that. Most importantly, Mesa is the only company that offers a conversion kit that allows the mounting of an AR stock inline with the barrel of the gun. Most companies that offer shotgun stock conversions position the stock below or at an angle to the barrel (and if that's what you want, Mesa makes that too - they call it their "LEO conversion"), requiring you to learn a new (albeit subtle) technique to shooting the platform. By mounting the stock inline with the barrel, there is no new manual of arms to digest - you can now shoot your scattergun just like your AR. Additionally, the kit comes complete with everything you need, from the rail and stock adaptor to the stock, pistol grip, and sling points. Mesa sells two versions of this kit, one with a hydraulic recoil buffer and one without. The hydraulic buffer is just that, a tube that inserts into the stock and, upon firing, absorbs a massive amount of recoil (Mesa claims up to 70%, and I believe it). Mesa's hydraulic buffer isn't the only one the market, but it is well made, with its only drawback being that you can't adjust the amount of cushion it provides (if you're looking for an adjustable buffer, s
