My Marlin 795 22 has inset sling swivels. To mount this on my rifle I had to fill the inset and put a flush mount sling swivel on stock. This mount will work well for rifles that already have a flush to the stock sling swivel mount.

With the addition of Meprolight sight on my Ruger SP101 I improved my sight picture 100 percent. Way better than the original ramp sight although it took some fileing and drilling to install. If you are handy with tools and take your time you should get a perfect fit.
