This is the 3rd stock I've tried for my bull barrel 10/22, the first two I sent back because of very poor fitment, on one the barrel was touching on one side of the barrel channel, on the other the receiver would rock (for & aft) in the stock.
The ProMag Archangel (AAP1022OD) fit like the proverbial glove.
The gun I put this on is a pretty accurate 10/22, (@ 50 yards I've been able to break 8 aspirins with 10 shots), so how the stock affects that is important to me, I'll post an update after I've had a chance to get to the range.

I tried to fit this stock on 2 different 10/22's, one has the old style metal trigger housing, and one has the newer plastic trigger housing. I had the same issue with both. After torqueing the receiver down to the recommended 20 inch pounds, I could still move the rear of the receiver up and down about 1/64 of an inch, enough so that the "bolt buffer stop pin" was partially exposed. I'm sure this would have effected the barrel harmonics and therefore degraded the accuracy of any rifle "THIS STOCK" (I may have just got a bad one) was mounted on. I will be exchanging it for a different stock to try.
I have seen on Blackhawk's website that they have been having a problem with some of their products being produced by counterfeiters, that doesn't seem to be the problem with the stock I received from Optics Planet, (Amazon and ebay seem to be plagued with this) the packaging, barcode, and product code all seem authentic, but it is something consumers should watch out for.

This hammer along with a Volquartsen target sear gave me a nice crisp 1.75lb trigger in my 10 inch Ruger MK II. Lots of good videos on how to do the install, I was reluctant to attempt it for a long time, but now that I've done it a few times I find that cleaning the gun is actually faster if I just dump all the guts every time.

I had to return the first one of these that Optics Planet sent me, the way it fit to the gun was just awful, so I contacted Adaptive Tactical and one of their tec's (yes I talked to a real person) told me that it must have been a bad mold that got past there QC people, he offered to replace it, but wasn't sure if they would cover return shipping, so I just sent it back to Optics Planet. I normally don't give second chances, but I liked everything else about this stock, so I decided to make an exception and hit the button for exchange rather than refund, boy am I glad I did.
Ruger takedown's don't have the best reputation for being the most accurate 10/22's out there, but I have found that playing with the torque setting (takedown screw) on any 10/22 will improve it's group size. In stock form mine likes the "Ruger" recommended 20 inch pounds and would give me (using Wolf Match Extra) 10 shot groups at 25 yards that would hit a nickel every time. The first stock I received opened those groups up to tennis ball size, the second stock I received turned my gun into a "fly hunter" it will literally hit a pea 10 shots out of 10.
With this stock my gun now likes 35 inch pounds of torque with the 40gr wolf ammo, but if I switch to the "jacketed" 40gr CCI sub sonics, I have to back the torque down to 10 inch pounds to get the best (cover with a dime) group size.
OK, this is starting to sound like I just want to brag about group sizes, so I'll stop. Bottom line is, if you like this
