By all other accounts this seems like a really great concept and design. It's well built and my pistol seemed to fit well, that is until I slid it forward to lock it into the frame and the slide/charging handle was pushed back part way. I tried a dozen times and after looking closely at the end of the slide I could see where it comes into contact with the barrel shroud. The shroud was fully extended in the "Full" position and still wouldn't fit.

A call to CAA confirmed that this device is not compatible as it's designed to fit the M&P 2.0 5" barrel model and there are no plans they are aware of to make it so. The only solution they could offer was to disassemble the MCK and cut down the shroud to provide the necessary clearance. No thanks! How about an accurate description of compatibility OR design it to work with the models you day it works with! Talk about a disappointment!!!

So, if I had a 4.25" or compact version my review would be 5 stars, no doubt. I just want people to be aware that the description is not accurate for what models it's compatible with.

While hunting with my 300 blk this fall I found out that the Magpul CTR falls short. My nose rests on the frozen buffer tube and my whiskers get caught in between the stock and buffer tube. The STR solves both of these problems AND give a more comfortable, secure cheek weld! 4 stars because I haven't gotten to shoot with it yet
