Tough Bag with shortcomings

Written on Apr 05, 2024

The material of this bag is top notch. I can tell it will hold up to a bit of abuse. One of the main reasons I got this bag is because it has dedicated pockets for up to 12 AR style magazines. It also has dedicated pockets for up to 12 pistol magazines and 2 full sized pistols. I had very high hopes for this bag, and overall I think it is a good bag with some short comings. The pockets for the AR mags are extremely tight. The middle mag pockets are much more easier to get mags into than the two pockets surrounding them. In order to fit 2 mags per pocket, I had to squeeze the second mag into the pocket underneath the first mag vs one directly on top of the other. Now the fun part. In order to completely zip the AR mag pockets closed, I had to turn each mag in a specific direction and I could only get one to zip completely closed. The other has about 1/4 inch gap, I don’t want to force it closed for fear of damaging the zipper. The pistol mag pockets were less tricky. I was able to fit two mags in each pocket, but I did have to put one upside down in each pocket for a proper fit and the pocket zipped closed with no problem. The pistol pockets may be a tad tricky. When you have all 12 AR mags in the pockets, the pistol pockets are going to be a snug fit. With 2 pistols and 12 pistol mags and 12 AR mags, the space in the empty pocket is very snug. You might be able to squeeze in a mag loader and some cleaning cloths and smaller cleaning tools. The rifle storage section is padded

Perfect for me!

I learned about this sling by watching a YouTube video by Classic Firearms. It featured Neil McLean himself who designed this sling. I highly recommend watching it for a thorough breakdown . This sling is a hybrid between a 2 point and single point sling. For reference I am 5-10 225 and the sling has plenty of adjustment point to make it fit comfortably. I really love the admin mode of the sling which is basically when you have both attachments points connected to your rifle. It keeps the rifle snug and close to your body with the ability to quickly it with a pull tab. I also love the quick deploy system which takes the sling from admin mode to single point mode which gives you quick and easy access to the use of your firearm. This is my second purchase of this sling and this will be the only one I will buy for the foreseeable future. I haven’t worn it for an extended period of time so I’m not sure if a pad is necessary or not.

Handy and solid attachment

Written on Mar 23, 2024

This is my second time purchasing this along attachment. I haven’t had any issue with the spring being stuck or the attachment being loose. Once I set it in place in my rail it is rock solid.
