This stacks nicely on top of the 18-gun, Stack-On gun safe, for space efficiency. The movable shelves are nice to be able to format it for your personal needs. While it can be a little dark inside, it was easy to find on-line some magnetic, rechargeable, motion sensing lights to brighten things up a bit. It is decent quality for the price.

I have been looking for a different stock for a 10/22 for years, but all had there limitations. Seeing this FAB Precision Stock Conversion with the hight adjustable check piece and folding stock, just made it a have to try this one, but I also kind of liked the Defense with the AR style adjustable stock. Ultimately the Precision won, and once opened, the stock did need some minor de-burring of some of the molding seems. To make it easier to de-burr the folding hinge, there is a large Allen head bolt inside, allowing for the removal of the folding stock, which would make the de-burring a little easier. Imagine my surprise when removing the folding stock, what was left on the man frame, was a large threaded hole, which the threads just happen to match those found on an AR tube. :-). Nice, two stocks for the price of one.

Was a great price on sale, unfortunately the sling lug fits neither a Harris, nor a Magpul, sling mount bipod, making it both useless and a disappointment for my use. I would return it, but even with free returns, it would cost more in gas to take it to the shipper drop off, than what I paid for it. With the great customer service, and sales dealing with OP, and in life we all win some, loose some, I am pretty sure I am still ahead of the game on the win side with OP, as I believe this is my first loss.

Luepold scope, very hard to turn magnification knob, so needed the leverage provided by a throw lever. Scope was not listed for fit, but the scope knob measured 1.290 in diameter, match that to the Throw Lever of 1.290 and it works fine. There is a small unsightly gap on the screw side (instructions say there will be), yet it is the correct diameter and worked well. The screw is rather small and could easily be over tightened, so be careful.

Have alway like this optic, and finally bought something that needed it. The 2 MOA red dot lends itself to precise accuracy. It turns off after a couple of minutes of non use, or you can manually turn it off, but if it turns off automatically, just touching it wakes it up and turns itself on (so probably shouldn't leave in on while transporting in a vehicle). Using a VISM OEM iron sight/Picatinny barrel mount on a Ruger PC, with an A.R.M.S. #31 QD mount, to low mount this on the barrel, results in incredible accuracy, plus the ability to quickly remove for iron sight use.

Besides being obviously REALLY BRIGHT (Hint: DO NOT be facing a mirror when testing it), it is a very simple mount using a spring loaded, self containing, wing screw (meaning it will not fall out, and does not require tools), it will mount on the dust cover of any pistol that has the short picatinny rail, or it will mount on a rifle, also to a picatinny rail, so it can be switched from pistol to rifle in just a few seconds. I mounted this on a AL (Armalite Lefty) quad rail, making it easily activated using the forward hand, light on opposite side of hand, however in this position, the switch can be put into position to receive a hard hit, and possibly damaged, so I used a MagPul short hand stop up to the back of the switch, so when laying the rifle on it's side, hand stop help to keep pressure off the switch, thus protects it from most potential damage.

The one thing never talked about when using a crush washer is; when it gets crushed just a little to much, it reduces the id diameter to that less than the barrel thread diameter, and thus running the risk of damaging the barrel threads when trying to remove an old crush washer. These AWMDAS washers never get crushed, and so eliminates the potential damage to the barrel threads. The instruction are quite simple, there is one washer per respective thickness, however the probability having to use the exact same washer for multiple mounts is slim, so one package can be used for multiple firearms.

As when using a bore brush, it is not large enough in diameter to effectively clean the CHAMBER for any calibre, and especially on those types of rifles that removing the barrel for proper CHAMBER cleaning is basically not an option, like Lever and Pump actions, this tool, in combination with a correct diameter CHAMBER BRUSH, is the trick, as it is a FIXED handle, allowing for one to TWIST the brush in the CHAMBER for better scrubbing action. It is long enough, yet flexible enough to usually go through the ejection port, or in the case of removable magazines, through the magazine opening to get good contact in the CHAMBER. NOTE: When using a CHAMBER BRUSH in a rifle with a necked case, the CHAMBER BRUSH typically is designed to clean the large part of the CHAMBER, however unfortunately usually neglects the actual necked down part of the CHAMBER where the bullet leaves the brass, and deposits a ring of carbon, which IS truly the most important part of the CHAMBER to clean. For this, say in the example of a 5.56, for cleaning the small part of this CHAMBER, I use a .270 or a .280 bore brush. For say a 308, or a 30-06 CHAMBER, in the small section I use a .357 bore brush to clean the ring of carbon deposit left when the bullet leaves the brass casing. If you have never used a CHAMBER brush, they are sized just like typical bore brushes by calibre, ONLY THEY ARE LARGER IN DIAMETER THAN BORE BRUSHES AND THUS SHOULD NEVER BE FORCED DOWN THE BORE. CHAMBER brushes typically co

Decades ago I purchased an out of the box tack driving Ruger Blackhawk, however the eyes aging over those same decades, made the OEM sights harder to see, and on the Blackhawk the front sight is NOT upgradable, so when I saw this mount, which basically replaces the rear adjustable sight on a Ruger Blackhawk, and finding an affordable micro red dot that fit this footprint, I had to try it. While it looses the classic style look of a Single Action Blackhawk, it certainly maintains it's tack driving ability, even with aging eyes. Why four stars? It did require a little file fitting to get the red dot to level out in the mid-range for adjustment, and the fact that it is ONLY held on with a rather small, single screw, 6-40 thread, which replace the OEM rear adjustable screw, however when installed it does seem to be pretty solid, and very enjoyable. While only a single screw mount, the design does make use of the rear tabs to absorb the impact of the recoil instead of just the single screw. Definitely recommend using Loc-Tite on the single screw, and letting it setup for at least 24 hours before use.

On my AL-15 (Armalite Lefty) one day it suddenly short stroked, and upon clearing the jam, and disassembling the Stoner spring and buffer, it was noted the buffer had disintegrated, allowing the pieces to stack up in the tube, preventing the BCG from cycling. I researched this JP Enterprise Silent Captured Buffer Spring System, which was a recommendation from my son, including the new JP stop pin, and what is missing is the BOING sound. It leaves a very solid sound when working. On maintenance, pushing down the JP spring loaded pin, the JP system is captured, which makes it basically about the size of the BCG when removed. It only requires periodic lubrication. I highly recommend also installing the JP spring loaded retainer pin, as the standard Stoner pin catches on the spaces on the buffer, making it kind of a pain to remove without using the elongated JP pin.
