Beautifully Machined

Written on Jan 30, 2026

Very nicely machined. Time will tell if it improves reliablity or durability. Dropped perfectly into my existing bolt carrier.

Well done!

I almost hate mounting this brake on my rifle because I enjoy playing with it and admiring it's machining, finish, and light weight so much. It's well engineered and optimized to reduce weight. A perfect complement to anyone who has invested a lot in carbon wrapped barrel and doesn't want to add ounces to the muzzle. The design is also simple and timeless without silly flourishes and design elements that provide no functional value.

I can't yet speak to the effectiveness, but it does appear that it will perform in line with brakes of similar design.

2 suggestions for the manufacturer:
1. Even though the "FURION" logo is on the bottom of the brake, I would imagine that many customers don't appreciate their gear being billboards.
2. I purchased the 308 brake but will be mounting it on a 6.5. You may want to consider boring these out to create more caliber specific variants.

High quality

I just put this on my shotgun fur self defense, hunting, and skeet. I've owned several other MRD sights and this is clearly the most robust. I was surprised to find that the sight was horizontally pre-centered and spot on with my barrel.

Cons... It comes in a cheapish over-sized plastic box. At this price, they could have included a protective cover for the sight and a sight adjustment tool.

Closest thing to welding an RMR to a shotgun....

Written on Nov 12, 2019

This mount is meticulously designed and flawlessly machined. Installation was a breeze. There are 3 sets of screws. One to attach the RMR to the mount. One to insert in the middle two screws of the receiver to act as recoil lugs by slotting in the bottom of the mount. One set for mounting the mount to the receiver. They were kind enough to include the correct bit and provide torque information. The RMR is rock solid and mounted low to the bore. I couldn't be happier.

I mounted this to a Stoeger M3K which has the same receiver design as the M3000. Hole spacing was perfect.

Highly Effective!

Written on May 11, 2019

I installed this brake on a Q "The Fix" rifle with a light 308 barrel. The nature of the rifle being light and the recoil pad being virtually non-existent makes it pretty uncomfortable to fire. I installed this brake and can now burn through 70 rounds in a range session without discomfort or bruising. There is very little blow-back to the shooter. Prior to shooting I pre-apologized to shooters next to me because I expected the side vented gas and noise to be brutal, but they didn't find it to be extreme. Quality is perfect. Bonus is that it looks awesome.

Worth it for precision rifles

Written on Apr 18, 2019

If you're building 3MOA shooters, this is not the product you need. If you are building refined precision rifles, then this is a phenomenal tool for indexing muzzle brakes. The cost may appear high, but this kit will cover more than one rifle. The instructions are easy to understand and it took no more than 5 minutes to find the right washer.

Elegant Solution

Written on Feb 01, 2018

A very elegant design for making a charging handle ambidextrous without adding mechanical complexity. Working well so far. The one area of concern is the amount of metal in the handle body where the cutouts for the springs are. These could be reinforced.
