Lightest Folding Hinge!

Written on Jan 30, 2026

This is the lightest 1913 folding hinge on the market. It's also very well designed. Other hinges, such as SIG or JMAC, require leverage to fold but, this hinge has an easy-to-use button. The others aren't difficult to fold once you break them in and get the hang of it but, in my opinion, this design is superior. The tension screw is also easy to adjust so even though the folder doesn't lock when folded, it will stay folded as long as the screw is applying enough tension. You can adjust it to your desired tension. I've now purchased 3 of these for JMAC SS stocks.

Chinese Junk

Written on Jan 08, 2026

I bought this on super sale a few years ago and used it once. It's heavy, has horrible relief and minimal magnification. After that one use I came home, pulled it off my rifle and reinstalled BUIS. Spend your $$ on a nice optic. This thing is junk.

You're Gonna Need REALLY BIG Pockets

Written on Jan 08, 2026

I don't own a single pair of pants, jeans or shorts that have large enough front pockets for this holster. The holster is so large it doesn't fit into 90% of my pants/jeans/shorts' pockets and the few with pockets large enough to accommodate are only large enough for me to force/jam it into the pocket which, results in a holster/gun-shaped print in my pocket.

I'm not tall but, at 6ft, I'm not short either. I'm 185lbs and wear size 33 waist. I'll go out on a limb and say that this holster certainly won't work for anyone who wears smaller pants than I. The leather is nice but, that's about it. The holster is totally useless for concealed carry.

Only Worth it if You Need a SD Handguard or Want M-Lok

Written on Jan 08, 2026

This handguard isn't as light as advertised. It's about 192 grams after adding the link and an extra 3-slot piece of M-Lok 1913 which, is exactly the same weight as the standard OEM 12" handguard (slim not SD). If you're considering this solely for weight reduction, there's no benefit.

Lancer reduced the handguard's weight by removing ALL of the top-rail. The 4-slot piece of 1913 that comes installed on the handguard is connected by M-Lok and is not optional as it contains the index tab. If you need an extra 3-5 slot piece of top-rail for BUIS or something else, the handguard will weigh the same or more than the OEM 12" (slim).

Another problem is that the Virtus and Spear LT piston assembly sit too high to slide past the The M-Lok hardware on the 4-slot piece of 1913 rail with the index tab--so this handguard ONLY works with Legacy barrels.

The handguard looks great but, that's about the only thing it really has going unless of course you NEED a SD or M-Lok handguard.

Weight Saving + Increased LOP

Written on Dec 18, 2025

This stock w/ JMAC folding adapter is a couple ounces lighter than the lightest SIG 1913 stock w/ SIG adapter. It's also 1/4-1/2" longer than most of the SIG models: Kate Moss, Tele/Fold, Mini Plus, etc. It feels good to shoulder and has a decent cheek weld without a cheek riser. I'll probably get another.

However, compared to the SIG folders, the JMAC folder is awkward. The mounting solution is also less user-friendly but, that is likely due to weight reduction (no captive hardware).
