One of the worst things I have ever purchased

Written on Apr 26, 2025

Stock requires a lot of assembly before even mounting, which is funny because it fits in the box assembled. Instructions are bad and comes with no Allen keys or anything to assemble it. Just the screws and stuff. So if you have no tools, you can't even put the stock on. The stock feels crappy, feels like a nerf gun. All plastic construction, the only metal is the screws, which are made of bad pot metal. The best part? Putting the stock together is impossible, a sling swivel is supposed to screw onto a washer which holds the pin in place that keeps the stock and pistol grip together, the problem is that the provided sling swivel is like 1/4" too short making assembly impossible. I can't make it past step 3 due to this error in the manufacturer. Everything is pot metal screws threading into plastic push pins. Very bad quality for the price, this stock is realistically worth $25 bucks, even then it would still be bad. Horrible product, would never recommend.

Did not like at all

Written on Apr 18, 2025

Mounted pretty easily to my Mossberg 500 and also came with a forearm for the pump. Fit and finish for the stock is good, lock up is very tight. I think it looks very ugly, but functional. I ended up returning it due to a multitude of reasons. The stock is way too long, and I am a big person with long arms. Length of pull is at least 15 inches. This stock has two sling mounting points, both of which are awful. It has two sling mounting points both of which are awful. Either position makes the gun want to roll over whether you are using a one point or 2 point sling. But pad is very stiff. Similar in texture to a mallet, hard but has a rubber texture. The texturing on the pistol grip is very aggressive, that might be a good or bad thing depending on who you are. Overall I would not recommend, length of pull is too long and the sling attachment points are awful. If this was half the price, it would be okay. But for such an expensive product it should be better.

Amazing Red Dot for the price

Written on Feb 06, 2025

I needed a red dot that mounted to a picatinny rail for my Rossi brawler. The price on this Romeo 5 was good and everyone's always talking about how it's the best budget Red Dot. It is true, it is the best red dot for its low price. Comes with two mounts, and AR height one and a standard mount. Fit nicely on my Rossi brawler pistol. It was very easy to zero in and the adjustment knobs moved with a click. Very easy to adjust your zero. Battery life is good and has a shake awake feature which I love. Would highly recommend.

Great replacement Bolt for 5.56 AR

Written on Feb 06, 2025

My AR was starting to have feeding and extraction issues. And after much testing I came to the conclusion that it was the bolt, I bought this cryptic bolt as a replacement. The price was good so I went ahead and bought it. Dropped into my AR without a hitch and fit perfectly. My feeding and extraction issues were fixed with this Bolt. I put 300 rounds to the rifle with this cryptic bolt in it and zero issues. Would highly recommend.

Amazing addition to HD shotgun

Written on May 11, 2024

I mounted this to my Mossberg 500 for the purposes of home defense. A light is very important for home defense, you want to know what your target is. Target identification is super important. And this flashlight makes this super easy. The 1,000 Lumen flashlight is very bright and the handguard is not very bulky at all. The handguard is very comfortable and the stippling is very nice. It also has a built-in fore grip. Which makes it really easy to rack the pump quickly. It's a little big but I think it looks cool. It does not add that much weight. It runs using two cr123 batteries. And the pressure pad to activate the light is very easy to press when using a firing grip. You do not need to break your grip to activate the light. You can press anywhere on the pressure pad and the light will turn on. The only bad thing I can think of is that there is no temporary on function. When you press the pressure pad it turns on the light and when you press it again it turns off. No momentary light. But all things considered, that is a pretty small con. Also to replace the batteries on the flashlight, you don't need to completely remove the pump from the gun. There is a small end cap on the rear of the pump to change the batteries. This will not mount on a Mossberg using the one piece forend. Where the pump is polymer and the action arms are pinned to it.

Powerful EDC flashlight without any of the bulk

Written on Jan 21, 2024

I was in the market for a brand new EDC flashlight, mostly because the one that I used to have was powerful but it was way too bulky it was a pain to carry around on body. This flashlight is just as powerful as my older flashlight even if it is way slimmer. I really like the slim squared design, if it's perfectly in a front pocket. I forget it's there half the time and it's also not very heavy at all. The normal 300 Lumen mode is extremely bright and would be perfect for most situations, but it does have a 1000 Lumen Burst Mode that gives you more power for around 30 seconds. The 1000 Lumen mode is honestly a bit of Overkill, but I do like the option. The ordinary 300 Lumen mode is bright enough for most applications. I like how it recharges using a type-c charger, very convenient and you don't have to be constantly switching out batteries. The only downsides I can think of is that the recharge time is really long but this is mitigated by just before going to bed leaving at the charge and then unplugging it in the morning. I also wish this flashlight had some grip texture, because if feels kind of slippery sometimes. Especially when wearing gloves. Also if you leave this flashlight on for too long it can actually get pretty hot. But those two are pretty minor complaints. Also you can swap the pocket clip to either side of the flashlight depending if you're left or right-handed which I appreciate. Overall this flashlight is amazing with very little downsides. The price isn't t

Awesome addition to my mossberg 500

Written on Oct 09, 2023

I had a mosberg 500 cut down to 20 inches and had it threaded for chokes. I chose this Carlson breacher choke. It adds about 2 inches to your barrel length. It keeps pattern tight with cheapo buckshot. I got a 16 inch pattern on a uspsa cardboard target at 10 yards and then a 20 1/2 inch pattern at 15 yards using Winchester super X 00 buck at 1,325 fps from my mosberg 500 with a 20 inch barrel. All pellets were on the cardboard. Haven't used it for breaching. Makes your scattergat look really cool and "tactical". Finish is good and the threads up nice and snug. Just tighten it every so often so it doesn't go flying down Range. Coool addition to my mossy
