Think twice - update

Written on Mar 19, 2024

Opticsplanet called me about my previous review of this product and asked if the issue had been resolved or if they could assist. They called unsolicited and said they were with opticsplanet but were calling at the request of Trijicon. They did not ask me to change my review, or offer me any special treatment in return for a positive review, they only asked if they could be of assistance. I told them of my issues zeroing the optic but mentioned that I’ve had previous experience where the reticle took a moment to catch up to the adjustment being made on the windage and elevation knobs. I told the rep I suspected this was the problem and would try to re-zero at a later time. Well I went to the range the following weekend and my suspicions were correct. After making adjustments I would wait ten to 15 seconds for the reticle to catch up and was able to get the optic zeroed without issue.

The optic is amazing and loaded with features, my favorite being the lockout mode, dot only. I also like that you can set the dot intensity in auto brightness mode. So after rezeroing the opticsplanet rep called me again. I told him of my success with the optic and even told him I tried to edit my first review of the optic but wasn’t able to. He then asked me if I would like him to remove the review ( something that users/reviewers can’t do ) I told him no and that it was important people knew of my true experiences with the optic. I did however tell the rep that a would post a second fallow on

Think twice

Written on Feb 24, 2024

I bought both the RCR and RMR HD when they were released. The RCR arrived in early December, zeroed easily and has performed well. The RMR HD arrived in early February. I mounted it to a Gen 5 Glock 19 and shot it today. I went through the entire elevation range and could not get it zeroed. I will check the mount tomorrow and try to zero again this week. If the RMR HD performs well I’ll update this post but until then think twice before buying this product.

My experience

Written on Feb 11, 2023

1. Flip caps are difficult to remove
2. ARD broke while installing
3. Built like a m1 tank.
4. Crisp dot
5. Easy to operate
6. Heavy and large, I loose a bit of peripheral vision.

Would I recommend. Yes if you’re matching brands Rifle / optic or you already own aimpoint, Trijicon, and eotechs.

Needs refinement

Written on Aug 10, 2022

I bought this product in July 2022. In the first week I put a hundred or so round through the gun. Within the first 20 rounds I had a failure to feed. It appears the round, hung up on the feed ramps of the Griffin Armament barrel. I also noticed the locking lugs are cut different than the OEM barrel. To my surprise the micro comp was noticeably effective but I hand to re tighten every 30/40 rounds. ( I was thinking of putting a washer or o ring on the thread to keep the comp, from backing off). 1/2 X 28 threads worked perfect. I threaded a Rugged suppressor on and had no problems with it backing off.
