Nail em every time!

Written on Sep 22, 2018

I bought this specifically for a FN509 tactical. Perfectly mounted in minutes. Minor adjustment to dot to line up with co-witness fixed sight and done! At indoor range under controlled distance and bench rest the match up with the fixed sight was indistinguishable to me as this is a defensive use firearm, so I’m not looking for everything to drop through the same hole, hence the 6.5 moa.
At outdoor range, various distances and shooting positions the target acquisition is remarkably fast and consistent. After several hundred rounds the RMR has performed flawlessly. I have a holster with the RMR cut which are becoming widely available from the betting holster providers.

What's not to like? Nothing!

Compared the Razor 12X50 side by side to the Vortex Viper 12X50 in a "big box". Both are exceptional.
Using the stores chart for visual comparison, the Razor clearly admits more light. The Razor has much nicer ergonomics for holding. Had my wife look through both (not showing her the price), she picked the Razor. She picked up on the brightness, clarity and handling comfort immediately.
I use these daily as we live up the side of a mountain on a dead end road, whether identifying strangers, watching game or in the field they are superb in every way. Clarity edge to edge, quick focus, sharpness and great light transmission. If you're going to be doing some serious glassing, at least take a look at the Vortex Razor before you buy. Vortex unconditional transferable warranty means you'll never have to buy a replacement. Top tier U.S. company. Yes I know there made in Japan where some of the finest optics/lens in the world originate. Optics Planet had a discount on binoculars which made these even more attractive. Great service.

I'd buy it again!

Exceptional clarity edge to edge throughout magnification range. Excellent low light image transmission with 50mm objective. I really like the MOAR reticle for fast MOA adjustment without the need to dial it in. That said, the "zero stop" allows for quick and easy reset if you do dial in MOA. Fast parallax adjustments 25-infinity for sharpest image and clarity. Adjustable illuminated center of reticle to aid in low light, which I haven't had an occasion to use in conditions that would warrant. It does weigh 30oz., but quality optical glass and a build that's not going to shake apart make up for it. I have a padded Blue Force sling so if I'm carrying rifle, scope and bipod the weight isn't a big deal for this ole guy cause I'm not going real far or fast anyway. I zeroed at a inside range @100 yds., with MOA correction using the MOAR had good results shooting out to 500-700 yds.
Lives up to the Nightforce reputation.

I mounted these on a FN SCAR 17s as per NightForce tech recommendation for the scope I have. Perfect height for the 50mm objective. Torque specifications for top screws and side bolts. After a couple hundred rounds the scope and fittings are without any movement or loosening. NightForce precision and quality.
