I've owned 2 of these mounts. Both have been atop a scar 17. The key to using this mount is prepping it. The threads must be cleaned and any machining lube removed. Then apply thread locker to the rings and torque all screws to appropriate torque. Allow these to set for at least 24 hours before use and you should have a solid mount that can be removed and changed between rifles. If used on a single rifle mine have always held zero. Some scopes I move purposely between rifles depending on need or use.
This is something you're going to want if you go with an optic. It is especially important if it has quick release or locking nuts on your charging side because your knuckles will bleed! This makes it ergonomic, easy, and bloody knuckle free operating this platform. The curv is beneficial in that it doesn't snag everything or jab you when slung.
Why such an expensive gun comes with a horrible factory trigger I'll never know, guess it is the "mil spec" concept but this trigger is amazing! It's easy to install, has no over travel, breaks clean, and the reset is perfect! This is the 1 mod you should make to the gun if you are ever going to make one.
