I've owned 2 of these mounts. Both have been atop a scar 17. The key to using this mount is prepping it. The threads must be cleaned and any machining lube removed. Then apply thread locker to the rings and torque all screws to appropriate torque...

I used this for over a year and had not much more than heartache using it. There are 4 screws that mount the bottom plate to the plate that you mount the rings to. Even with ample amounts of blue thread lock the screws kept backing out. Originally...

OPMOD built these Riflescope Mounts & Bases with a track system that allows you to easily install and remove the rings. The majority of the cost of these OPMOD Kinetic Development Group Sidelok Rifle Scope Mounts is in the durable aluminum base, and you can remove that base to customize the mount to fit your specific needs.
