I'm a huge aimpoint guy i have this mounted on a scalar works mount it's sturdy as all can be but the glass quality isn't just there honestly I'd return this optic if possible but it's not my style to return things without giving it a second chance i would rate this a bit higher but i have very high expectations from aimpoint they been in the game far to long

Glass quality excellent and great responsive turrents on the other end optic will get foggy and i mean very foggy and the illumination is not bright enough for middle of day shooting but you can't ask for the world when i paid under 800 for this optic

Cheap aimpoint

What can i say it's cheap and it works. I easily put 3k rounds on this optic in 556 and even drop tested it a few times held zero and battery still ran strong! If your not wanting to drop heavy money on a optic this is the one to get. And by the way over a 2 years and it's been on the whole time haven't had to change the battery once yet

Trying to recreate the wheel

It's a simple grip but i just cannot seem to understand the amount of screws and washers on this thing. You try to mount it on a rail and when i loosened it the locking lever and the tighting screw came apart and everything went everywhere why could they just not make it so it can come apart to much engineering for a simple tool i locked it in on the rail and it's on there but tends to have a little bit of movement after a bit not to many people make broom stick grips anymore i had high hopes for this

What a let down

I never write reviews on items unless there excellent or terrible. This Elcan is just a let down the illumination is not day light bright even in the slightest and the full reticle box only lights up half way so with the cross it just goes to the half way point and stops there it bleeds all over the place like a extremely cheap knock off optic does I've used elcans in the past when i was in the service but i don't remember there optics being this bad the reason it isn't one star because it holds zero and the glass is decent wouldn't rate it in the Japanese glass quality or even high end European glass quality
