Customizable Buffer for Ar15/Ar10/Ar9

Written on Aug 31, 2019

ODIN Works products always have high standards for functionally, fit & finish. Their AR buffers are no exception and come in lite or heavy weights. The buffer weight is easy to adjust using the correct combination of provided weights. Used Heavy buffer in an Ar10 build along with a quality flat wire spring and reduced recoil to a very manageable level.

Great pistol sight

Written on Mar 18, 2019

This is a great reflex sight for pistols. Bought it for my Glock 19 with the RMR cut. It fits with the correct 4-40 screws (not supplied). I especially like the 32 MOA circle with the red dot for fast target acquisition. The shake awake feature is nice, but I’m not sure how it’ll affect battery life for those that use on a carry gun. Doesn’t co-witness with standard Glock sights, but should with the taller suppressor sights.

Nice adjustable gas block

Written on Feb 16, 2019

This is a really well designed gas block manufactured in stainless steel. I haven’t tried the adjustment yet and have been using fully opened. When the weather warms up I’ll try to adjust my 300ACC for subsonic ammo. I’ve used this block on all my rifle builds except those with a piston system.

Great ergomatic foregrip

Written on Jan 10, 2019

This is a very comfortable foregrip with an included thumb rest. I bought this for an AR pistol in 300 Blk. Wanted something to provide better stability for accurate shots. This is the most comfortable foregrip I’ve reviewed and the thumb rest is a great additional feature. The grip has a small storage pocket that comes in handy.

No more struggle

Written on Nov 26, 2018

If you’ve ever struggled to re-insert the firing pin retainer this is your answer. I can never get the split pin to seat correctly without a lot of struggle to get both sides through the exit hole. Inserted the KNS pin 1st try with no problems. Only issue I can see is the pan head seats below the enterence hole and you’ll need a small punch/rod to push it out on removal. This is easier than trying to insert the original pin.

Rubberized finish for ideal grip and control

Written on Oct 27, 2018

This is one of the most ergonomic grips I’ve run across. It’s size and shape fits large hands comfortably. The storage pocket is a nice bonus. The grip has three different textures along with the finger groves for a natural feel. Rubberized finish is ideal for AR Pistols grip and control.

Disappointment

Written on Aug 11, 2018

I own a Burris 1-4x24Tac30 and wanted something in the same footprint but with more magnification. I was really looking forward to this scope after reading all the positive reviews and waiting several months for it to be restocked. What a disappointment when I finally received it and found that the parallax from 5-8 magnification made it useless. I promptly returned it and kept my reliable Burris. If you looking for a magnification range greater than 1-4 at a reasonable price stick with Burris, Vortex, or Primary Arms.

Fast acquisition

Written on Jul 23, 2018

This is a great scope for acquiring the target fast. Prism scopes have some advantages to red dot sights. They can still be used when battery power dies, are easier on older eyes and those that suffer from astigmatism, and they have reticles that relay ballistic specific information ( different reticles for different scopes). The Vortex 1x-AR has the easiest to use reticle of two concentric circles surrounding a central dot. It didn’t require much adjustment out of the box and maintained calibration after removal and reinstallation.

Great AR15 Upper

Written on Jun 04, 2018

This is a well made upper receiver for multi caliber builds. Nice smooth black anodized finish that goes well with my Rugur lower. Fit at the takedown pin is a little tight but a little filing and gun grease fixed that. If you’re looking for a quality / affordable upper, this is the one.
