Everyone had convinced me that the 5.56 NATO round was accurate so I bought the Ruger Ranch rifle in that caliber. I loved the action but the stock did not fit me at all. The MDT Field Stock is adjustable and way more comfortable. I now use iron sights, a red dot, and a 3x12x44 scope on this rifle. While this is a true "drop in" fit, there is a very specific way it needs to be installed and not enough instructions. I needed a 1/4 inch drive 3/16th hex socket, an extension, and a inch pound torque wrench. The mag release needs to be built after the action is torqued. There were no instructions for that either.
