Be advised, the item i wanted was the patrol version. One ofnthe drop downs shows the patrol version but it isnt. They have images flipped. Be sure you are ordering by the item number not the photos. The item i got was great, just not what i wanted. 3 stars just for having to go through the return process.

I bought this shoulder holster for my Smith and Wesson N Fr 329pd .44 Mag, for winter carry/hunt carry. In saying that, the holster is very well made.It took just putting the gun in and out a few times to break it in, and letting it sit in the holster overnight. The holster is very easy to put together with the instructions included. The holster is very comfortable and very adjustable to the person. Now to the one bad thing I have to say about this holster and in my opinion keeps this from being a great shoulder holster and will keep me from buying from Galco again. Since this holster is for a Revolver Galco sends with it , quoting from Galco's website "Revolver systems include double drop pouch for loose cartridges", this system simply holds loose rounds in the pouch. This pouch is complete Garbage , 1) you can fit maybe 4 rounds in each pouch, for total of 8 rounds, and this was with great difficulty getting the pouch to close with the rounds in the pouch. Also the pouch is set up in such a way that when you try to retrieve the rounds ( using one hand on revolver, one hand to retrieve the ammo) the ammo is very difficult to get with out dropping it on the ground , so unless you put the weapon down, count on dropping the ammo on the ground. Granted this will not be an issue for range use, but if you train how you will fight, this pouch is completely useless in a tactical mindset. This is a very good range bag, Duty bag, or even medical bag, has more then enough room to fit ammo,medical gear, hearing protection, ammo, mags,and eye protection. I had a harder time finding stuff to put in the bag, then finding room. internal compartments can be removed or switched around, or entire internal section can be removed. Compartments on the inside are padded for storing handguns or optics. The outside compartments aren't as impressive. They only really fit mags, multi tools,cleaning gear, and other small items. This isn't a big issue as the inside can fit pretty much anything you would need, but I would have liked to have seen a little more versatility in the outside compartments, but like i said, this is just a small issue , if an issue at all. The bag its self is very heavy and bulky,more so then it appears to be in the video, this isn't an issue for me, but if weight is a problem for you, you may want to look else where, even completely empty the bag is pretty hefty, but not a real problem in my opinion. As to durability I've had no issues with any stitching or ripping, I do not know if the bag is water proof, it is resistant, can take on any rain no problem. In conclusion this is a very great range bag with tons of possibilities for the shooter. Im a Marksmanship instructor for the U.S Marine Corps, and this bag serves me very well, and will serve any other shooter great
