Best bang for your buck despite some flaws
Written on Aug 20, 2025
This is my first thermal but I have been hunting with night vision for years. Just like with my first ATN NV's it gets you in the game and as about the least expensive 640 unit you can buy, I had to try it out. No regrets and it ups my night varmint hunt capabilities tremendously. I have since upgraded to an AGM Spectrum NV which is an amazing tool. I find that I use the Pard for scanning and short work and the AGM for long distance shots. As a small, lightweight package you could use it as a hand held to locate critters in the brush that would be hard to see with NV. I have mine on a 6.5 Grendel and it is very effective out to about 250 yards.

Love FAB Defense products, try them.

FAB makes excellent stuff with a bit of flair and ingenuity. This buttstock is no different and comes in this groovy gray color. Installed easily on a conventional AR-15 lower with A2 buffer tube. Comes with two additional adapters for other configurations. Looks sharp, is high quality and a great option for quick LOP and cheek riser adjustment. Slowly converting all my black rifles to their furniture.

Great gray AR-15 grip.

Not sure what else to say. It is a Magpul quality grip, textured plastic, w/storage compartment, installed easily and looks good with my FAB gray buttstock.

Ugly crimp and chewed up irregular bullets
Written on Feb 16, 2024
I have had good luck with Sig ammo in the past, both rifle and pistol rounds but these things are UGLY! On most rounds there is a weird crimp that appears as if it the tool was misadjusted. There are evenly spaced "finger" like indentations with marring that extends onto the bullet itself. There are both brass and copper shavings at and captured in the bullet to case joint. Also, all bullets have a weird concentric indentation just above the ogive. Seating depth appears correct and consistent, but not sure I want to risk putting these through my guns. Far from "Elite Match Grade" these things are uglier than mil-surplus steel case stuff.

Somewhat enhanced - functional

Review for
Strike Industries AR Enhanced Bolt Catch
Building my first AR-10 and already had an LPK and trigger from my AR-15 parts bin, so just needed this specific part. Price was good and it appears to be a quality item. Not radically different from the standard version, but the bigger engage pad works well. No complaints, does what it needs to do.
