This is my fourth Pic Rail mount. I don't reload, but I don't like slinging my brass around other people either. Just buying the mount allows
you to move the Caldwell brass catcher from AR to AR. If you ever shoot at a range next to people, you should have a setup like this.
Pros:
- good neighbor , easy cleanup, protects brass
Cons:
- best to have one mount for each rifle / cost

All I can say is it beats sweeping up spent casing while shooting, sturdy for the price.

This allows different rifles to be ready for attachment with Caldwell brass catcher. Definitely saves sorting through the brass at the range for your own brass, esp for bespoke calibers.
Best Used for:
- Rifles with Caldwell Brass Catcher

I’ve been using the Caldwell brass catchers for a while now on AR-10 and AR-15 rifles. Brass is not easy to come by these days. 6.5 Creedmoor is a good example. I’ve been able to recover 100 percent of my brass. I’ve gotten some of these spare mounts to put on other rifles that way all you have to do is just move the bag around.

Little tall for anything other than regular scope rings, will work for offset style ring sets if can get it in the correct position far enough forward. Bracket stays tight enough for basic range shooting, maybe any issue carrying in the field with catching on branches or something. Stays tight.
Cons:
- limited use with certain ring sets

I bought the brass catcher a couple of years ago to try out. This small device clamps to the rail on your rifle. Total install time is about 1 minute. Nicely machined and a perfect, tight fit. Since then I have equipped all my rifles with this mount for the brass catcher. If you reload or shoot out in the desert like I do, this makes picking up your brass much easier. This is the 3rd time that I have ordered these mounts. Keep your outdoors clean, pick up your brass!
Pros:
- Easy install, secure fit.
Best Used for:
- Keeping your shooting area clean.

I have two catchers and a rail adapter on 6 rifles. Tried other cheaper types, before buying the Caldwell and they are all in a box somewhere in a closet. You can spend the money on the Caldwell upfront or buy the cheap ones first, then spend the money on the Caldwell. Seldom if not ever am I so sold on a product like I am this!
Pros:
- Easily use one catcher on multiple firearms

I have these adapters on 5 of my AR's. Makes it great to use the brass catch on them. My pistol caliber AR's really can throw the brass so if you reload or don't want to spend the time picking up your brass it is great to eave this setup. My rifle that I hunt with makes it nice to not have to try and find my brass and spend more time shooting.
Pros:
- Nice to have to change brass catcher to each gun

I already had a brass catcher from Caldwell on my 5.56 and just needed the attachment to mount on my new 7.62 so I could use the brass catch on either rifle. This is a smart move by the company keeping their customers happy by not having to buy another brass catcher bag.
Pros:
- Fits the picatinney rail well.
Best Used for:
- Caldwell brass catcher on any rifle with the rail mount
