Most Helpful Positive Review Decent Entry Level
This is a good product, and if you are looking for low cost NV, digital is the way to go. To preserve the three AAAs in prolonged use (varmit hunting), one should use a low refresh rate (8 or 15 fps), which is a bit jerky. Also, even with new batteries, the number of bars decreases with progressively higher IR illumination levels selected. One good feature is that the supplemental IR light can be turned off to save the battery and provide greater stealth in security applications, although I doubt most will be using entry level NV for critical security purposes. Awesome little night monocular

I really like this night vision monocular. It was worth the money after looking at all the other ones I looked at I picked the Carson of course I was a bit taken back when I saw it and thought how small it was. Then as I messed around with it and got used to working with it and how easy it was it was definitely a good choice. Clear images quick on the batteries but that's why I stocked up on those ;-) I can see a lot further than you would expect it definitely gives me the tactical advantage over the local crack head 's and it fits in my gear bag.so if your looking for one I recommend this one.

  • Compact and easy to stow away.

  • Eats batteries

  • spotting at night

Excellent and handy instrument

I never before have got this sort of optics, despite my interest in this field (built my own reflector-telescope myself) the first time looking through this amazing monocular, I couldn't beleive to what I have seen; all images - in total darkness - were seen in black and white with great clarity - real joy! also very handy in daily (in nightly,in fact...)
