Most Helpful Positive Review Green Tag ammo
If you can't shoot small groups at 100+ yards, don't blame this ammo. You should take a look at your equipment or your shooting technique or both. To me, LR does't mean long rifle, it is for "long range".

I picked up 200 rounds of the Green Tag to test out. I'd seen some good reviews on it floating around the internet, but most I feel were just sponsored content now that I've tried it. CCI Standard Velocity VS CCI Green Tag

Nutshell = Vudoo rifle @200-Yds. Both CCI Standard Velocity and CCI Green Tag produce (aggregate average) 1.93" groups at 200-Yds. The only delta/difference observed were the CCI Standard Velocity had a higher percentage of 'flyers'. Visually......the Green Tag projectiles look flawless/superb; yet, performance/flight-characteristics are virtually identical.
Summation = Either the Standard Velocity (CCI 0035) is exceptionally good (especially for the price)...........or........... the Green Tag (CCI 0033) is subpar. My gut: The former is true. . . . . the latter is mildly true.
Pros:
  • CCI Standard Velocity: Best bang-for-the-buck. Bar none!
Cons:
  • CCI Green Tag: 400% more costly..... for 20% increased performance (nominal median average aggregate)
Best Used for:
  • Precision long-range PRACTICE! (But not for 'competitive' applications)
