I mounted these 25x70s on a hefty tripod early this morning because Jupiter shone down from a perfect spot in my apt. grounds. I expected to see more; he was really so bright the moons were lost in the glare. The seeing was fairly good as other background stars were nice pinpoints - no collimation issues whatever. Yet it seems here the lesson is that 70mm if used for something of Jove's present magnitude is simply too much. I felt as though my dark-adapted eyes were offset by the planet's glowing. But my real conclusion is that the Sky 25x70s would be grand touring champs in a rural setting, hunting down galaxies, various clusters and multiple systems rather than planets, which need instruments of perhaps less of an exit pupil and quite a bit more magnification (you guessed it,telescopes).
Cons:
- Too bright for Jupiter, Venus.

I got these to replace my skymaster 20x100x70 due to double image even after being replaced the new pair had the same problem. So I thought I would give Celestron one more try and im glad I did. These are perfect for long distance ship viewing and astronomy. You cant go wrong with these.
Pros:
- low price for some very good binoculars.

These are outstanding binoculars. Very well made, with top quality optics. You will need a sturdy tripod to hold them steady. I got these for looking at the stars. A simple 60mm refracting telescope is sufficient to see 4 of the moons of Jupiter and also able to see the rings of Saturn. So with these 70mm objective lenses you will definitely be able to see more. They will also be good for looking at regions of the night sky where the stars are closely packed, such as the region of as the center of the Milky Way. They would also be good for use at the firing range to check your target, etc.

I use it mostly for astronomy and occasional views of high flying jets with their contrails. When I used the binoculars with the binocular mount, there was so much lateral vibrations that it was just about useless. I epoxyed both sides of the binocular mount (with some spare screws laid in with the epoxy) and let it set for 24 hours and now it is "rock steady". I can now enjoy the views without any vibrations at all. (Of course, you do need a good tripod that can handle the weight of the binoclars)
Pros: Nice views of the heavens; feels like a "space walk"
Cons: Flimsy binocular mount

These have incredible brightness and field of view. It's tough to hold, they just about need a tripod, not quite. But for this magnification that's to be expected.
Easy to focus, and actually not "as" big as they look in the picture, definitely usable/portable. Come in a nice case.
Overall incredible range for the price. Very clear, very bright.
Pros: Very good range/brightness
Cons: Tough if handheld

First time we ever saw the moons of Jupiter and the craters on the moon!
Only criticism is the tripod mount which is too weak and allows lots of wobble and shake when viewing on a tripod.
Pros: Great Optics
Cons: Wimpy tripod mount
