Low Cost Assessory for Solar Viewing
Anyone who is considering purchasing a seperate Solar Telescope should try this filter on thier existing telescope. As soon as I received this product, I installed it on my 8" SCT and went outside to try it out. Wow! Fantastic views of the Sun and great pictures. I was very pleased. Now I do not need a seperate solar telescope. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in Solar Astronomy and astrophotography. The only reason I did not give it five stars was that Celestron needs to make a padded case for storage. I keep it in it's origional shipping box when not in use. I want...

A must for solar viewing
A case of some sort would be ideal when storing the filter. The film is very delicate to be left unprotected.

Fits a C6 perfectly. No worries about it falling off! You can clearly see the smallest sun spots and faculae.

Seein' the Sun with my C6
Fit the C6 perfectly. Nice and snug so no worry about being blinded! I can see some granulation. Sort of an eggshell texture. Faculae are quite visable even without dark spots in them. Of course Umbra and penumbra are easy to see as well.
