Supposed to Sharpen - Dulls Instead
I was excited to see a knife sharpener that advertises that it sharpens & hones, but it actually dulls the knife when the blade contacts the bottom of the "V" in both slots. Following the instructions to a tee, I tried with different amounts of pressure with the same result.
I actually sharpened the knife on stones and got a decent edge, then ran it through the hone slot and could see that the edge was removed when I looked at it under magnification. Maybe I got a bad sample, but it has been returned.
