Very clean looking stock , extremely comfortable. It didn’t fit perfectly, but with a mallet I got it in pretty easily. Melted the front of the stock.
This stock is good if youre shooting a few rounds. Anything over 60-80ish rounds and the plastic towards the front starts to melt and smoke. Now the stock is harder to fit onto my sks and is slightly warped.
Great stock, just not Green as described
Love this stock, my Chinese SKS went right in, I did need to use the provided shim to ensure a good fit. I was hoping that even though the picture showed it being black, that it was green as was described. I don't want to send it back now that I've got it fitted and installed, I just ask that OP checks the descriptions to be accurate on their website, black is a good alternative. This stock is made more for normal-sized people, versus the original. I love the pistol grip more than I anticipated. I still need to shoot with this stock on so that I can see how it performs installed, however, Choate is an excellent company, so I don't anticipate any issues.

Good quality but ...
I watched numerous youtube videos on how to install my SKS into this stock. Although the stock is well made my efforts to install my SKS were not successful. I am going to have to find a different option, perhaps a custom wood stock but until I do that I have a totally unusable rifle.
