Another quality part from CMMG! Honestly, I bought this, well, just to add to my receiver no specific reason but WOW! I’m so glad I did. The installation was quick and easy. You can really feel the quality of this part. Everything is smooth. Highly recommend!
Most Helpful Negative Review Works, but Location is Bad
Pros: Ambi mag release, works, no modificatuoj to gun frame. Cons: Works poorly, if at all, with BAD lever or similar devices, works poorly with maritime bolt catch, really close to standard bolt release. I believe they are on the same vertical plane. CMMG Ambi mag catch

I've tried a few different Ambi mag catch/release kits before and this is by far the best one I've come across. It's pretty low profile so no worries about it getting snagged on something. Install is exactly the same as any other mag catch. Beat of all it works great. I can drop the mag from the left side easily. The price is not bad either. I highly recommend it.

It fits well and works ambi

Good magazine catch, ambi and works well!

the only thing is I replaced the mag button with the magpul extended button and works well with this! (just the button replacement). Nonetheless this looks good and functions well when release mags on either side

Minimalist ambi

This ambi is simple and effective. If you are a dedicated lefty then there are better options. It does work with a B.A.D. lever with very little clearance and can be somewhat difficult to get around the BAD lever if you have short fingers.

It tucks in really nice . U dont have to worry about any parts sticking out or any screws breaking or pins walking out . Everything fits right into the reciever really nice i use this on all my builds . Very well made high quality . Would highly recommend over others

Cmmg Ambi Magazine Catch

Nice upgrade. Especially for left hand people. It doesn't stick out to far. And it will function correctly with extended bolt catches like the Giessele Maritime bolt catch.

Great Product

I have been using one of these for over a year on my Areo Precision M5 and it works great. I do a lot of ambi shooting so it has seen some use. It is an easy installation and I haven't had any issues.
