Very good basic M4 gas block/sight base.
Overall I'm very pleased with this gas block/sight. Good machining and finish. Good price. The only negative is the tapered pin holes are not drilled, not sure why they don't do this. This took a couple hours of measuring, setting up, 1 broken bit, etc and it did't turn out exactly right but good enough.
Pros:
- Good, basic M4 gas block/sight. Price.
Cons:
- Tapeder pin holes not drilled.

Authentic milspec article for your A2/A1 rifle.

CMMG Front sight assembly
This sight base comes complete with sight post, spring, detent also with sling loop attached. This is for virgin barrel assembly and must drill for tapered pins. Seems mil spec and matches the nitrate barrels.

NO PIN HOLES
Site came with no way to mount it as no tapered pin holes in it. Nothing was mentioned about this in the description. Not happy. Don't want to have to go thru all the pains for a make due install. All the waiting for nothing.

Dissatisfied
This front sight is not ready to mount. No set screw or holes for the mounting pins. It appears to be well made but it’s going back. There is a hole above the sling mount but it’s not tapped and there’s no access for a set screw.

Have to drill holes
It’s a good sight, the only problem with it you have to drill holes to get it to fit your barrel. The sight does not come pre drilled. You will have to take it to a gun shop for them to drill and mount to gun, unless you have the proper tools to drill your own holes

Great Product
Solid construction and nice finishes. Nice weight to it and seems very sturdy. Nice that it includes the front sight post. Would recommend any time. Also shipped very fast. Optics planet never disappoints
