The stock is a cheap immataion, plastic copy. The stock is a thin hollow shell and the buttstock has a cheap, plastic trap door. I'm not happy with its construction.

I bought this for a recent retro build. It fit perfectly and looks nice. Not much more to expect from it, and that's ok.

I bought this for a retro-rebuild. I was looking for the usual: well-made, fit, installation, price, etc. It is exactly as described and what I wanted. I installed it in quick order, the fit is excellent, it's well-made, and it looks great! The price was very reasonable, and it shipped/arrived quickly. I'm considering getting another one for an AR10 that I would prefer to have a fixed stock. Definitely recommend.
Pros:
- Price
- Quality
- Ease of Install
- Fit
- delivery

Great fast delivery, the stock was very easy to install. The rifle looks like an original M-16 A-1 I went through basic training with, good retro look.

Overall am pleased with the stock for what it is ( a lower cost fixed LOP stock), my only complaint is the polymer butt pad is a little cheaply finished. Fully functional, including trap door, and even accommodates a weight for match shooting. Slightly shorter than the A2 version, very simple install and reasonable price.
Pros:
- Classic look, fully functional, compliant to California laws, low cost
Cons:
- No QD sling swivels, butt pad ( not bring rubber) a little cheap looking but fully functional
- no QD sling swivels, cheap feeling butt pad but fully functional
Best Used for:
- Any AR build where slightly shorter LOP and fixed ( non collapsible) stock is necessary

Fit and finish are great. My rifle works like it should and although I had to ad a 2 inch butt plate I knew ahead that I would. My arms are long. The buffer spring might make the twang noise but I haven't heard it. And yes I use ear muffs. Overall I'm very happy .

A lot shorter than the a2 stock, but has the compartment just like it, great lop for someone smaller, seems to be sturdy 4/5

The trapdoor was completely unacceptable. It is made of plastic which didn't bother me as much as the trapdoor latch was a "V" type like you would find holding the battery compartment closed on a TV remote control. The trapdoor hinge was not a hinge, it was a plastic ribbon that bent when the door was opened. The rear stock endplate is also made of plastic and the buttstock to buffer tube screw is included, but is not drilled with a drain hole per mil-spec. The buffer weight is 5.16 oz and is made with dead blow weights. The spring was 32.5 cm or 12.8 inches or 12 13/16 inches long. The spring, buffer, and buffer tube seem to be of good quality and it is the only reason I gave this review two stars. The buffer tube was press fit so tight inside the stock that I had to use a mallet and punch to remove it from the stock. The stock is made from injected molded plastic and you can see the internal form lines on the outside of the stock. It is a nice black color with a matt black (not gray) textured surface. The surface scratches easily as mine arrive band new in a sealed plastic bag and it had marks and scratches from storage. The rough matt textured surface does look like a good choice if you plan to rattle-can paint your rifle. The A1 style of stock is a little shorter than the A2 style so the A1 doesn't need and buffer tube spacer and doesn't come with one. If you are looking for a beat-around stock or if you're arms are short, and you don't care about the super ch...
