Most Helpful Positive Review Wrong rear takedown pin in kit
Received the kit as promised. Unfortunately the rear takedown pin was wrong. The one in the kit was .250" for an AR15. Rather than hassle with returning to Optics Planet, I called CMMG directly. Thumbs up to them for their customer service. They apologized and dropped a complete set of their HD takedown pins for AR10 in the mail. I had in just a couple of days!

Again CMMG provides a must have kit for any 308 build. The parts fit and drliver time and time again.For all of my builds I rely on CMMG!

Fits great

Used to complete an 80% DPMS, everything fit great. The bolt catch pin is threaded so make sure your lower is set up for that before you buy and you’ll be in good shape. I oiled every pin and spring as I put them in, it is an absolute must do. Cycle every takedown pin, safety selector, etc. a few times with that oil in there and it gets smooth and quiet. Can’t beat the parts for the price.

Fit perfectly in a Aero Precision M5 lower

fit and finish are great, had a threaded pin for the bolt catch. The included trigger and grip feels great and everything was package in its own color coded bag. Expected to have issues with fitment since it's a .308 platform but it all fit great.

CMMG .308 Gun Builder's Lower Parts Kit 38CA61A

I used this kit for a recent LR308 build - everything fit perfectly. However, the most impressive thing about this parts kit is that CMMG had the foresight to package the parts in a plastic form that holds the parts over a card with each part labelled! That simple packaging scheme saved me 20-30 minutes of sorting through parts to figure out what I have. Thank you CMMG!

Fit perfectly

Exactly what I needed to finish my 80% lower. Had no issues what so ever mine came with and extra spring for the bolt catch pin. The cmmg video for installation is a bit lacking. Seems to function properly haven't shot the rifle yet waiting on a buffer tube

Excellent quality and finish

CMMG AR Lower Parts Kit

Easy to install and I am a dumb Marine. Even better Kit if it came with some grease for the little bits. All the items fit perfectly pins were pushed in and held as they should. The trigger is better than mil spec at 3-4 lbs. I am not sure if this is made that way but 6-8 lbs. is not preferable. This kit was with the ambidextrous safety selector, and I like that for training for weak side shooting.

Perfect kit for your 80% lower

Great Product

Solid product. The separate color coded bags is very nice and makes building a lot simpler, especially if this is your first time building a rifle. Everything is great quality. Trigger is a good pound pull sitting at about 4 pounds so it's not overly heavy of a pull. The trigger is also very well machined.

Good value in a lower parts kit.

Picked this kit up to finish my 308 build. It installs as it should with no problems. Quality and workmanship seems to be good. As you can imagine there is not great deal of difficultly in manufacturing the components of a lower kit so many of them are pretty equal in their quality. I chose this one because of price/value. I have other components from CMMG and haven’t had any problems.
