She’s a keeper
Such a good looking handguard! It meets perfectly with the Aero AR10 upper I had and with a 12.5” barrel underneath is a gorgeous setup. The handguard not only looks great but meets or exceeds all my expectations.
Scuffed finish
This item arrived with the finish rubbed off in several areas, and is unfinished on the inside. You can see the unfinished silver inside through to the outside. Every time I look at the thing there is black worn off somewhere. I try to touch it up with aluminum black, but some areas don’t seem to blacken. Also, the clamp screws were so tight, the hand guard was bitten into the knurled barrel nut so tight that it was difficult to remove. I own other CMMG items that are superior quality, this item falls short.

PRE USED????
My first thought was wow, nice packaging, however, upon removing this hand guard from fancy plastic tube package, the finish is noticeably worn on many spots possibly from shaking around inside the tube. When disassembling prior to install, the screws had been tightened so tight, the barrel nut would not release from inside the hand guard because it had been tightened so much that the knurled barrel nut had bitten into the clamped portion and the clamped portion would not release. I question if this part has been used before or if it was tightened this much when packaged? I’ve got pictures of I can figure out how to upload them.

CMMG Handguard
This is just what I needed for my Banshee MkGs. The original handguard was to short to cover my suppressor.
Pros:
- Does a great job covering my suppressor.
Cons:
- Needed to take to gunsmith to install included barrel nut.
