I bought this beauty a few years back. I said of relatively new Duracell batteries leaked into the flashlight, causing extensive damage to it. I sent it back to Coast, and they sent me a replacement in no time flat. Truly AMAZING flashlight which lights up the night! Incredible warranty by a very reputable company. Although it’s discontinued, I would purchase ANYTHING that would come even close from Coast if I had to replace it. Hands-down, the absolute BEST flashlight I ever owned in my life!
Pros:
- Super bright, extremely durable, and easy to carry.
Best Used for:
- Anywhere were that you need extremely bright lighting
- Anywhere that you need extremely bright lighting.

This is a cool package at an great value. First a seriously bright and functional flashlight with some practical accessories mated with a Coast multi-tool that appears to be pretty good quality with a bunch of useful functions and even a built-in LED work light - very cool!
Pros: Two great product for a super price.
Cons: Flashligh a bit heavy

A supper flashlight if you want high output and a club or defense weapn. Built to last however the focus system needs improvement as it won't stay adjusted if you move the light or stand it on end.
Pros: Super bright, well built, should last for ever
Cons: BIG, Heavy and focus won't stay as adjusted

This Flashlight lights up a room as if I pluged in a 500 watt halogen light. If you want the brtghtest flashlight out there, this one is for you. The spot to flood feature is also nice. High Quality as with all Coast flashlights. Glad I purchased this after putting it off for so long.
Pros: Brightest Flashlight Ever.......

Great Flashlight. I was looking for a bright flashlight for when I am out in the water with my boat. It works great. I was actually able to see a bit under the water at night with this thing. The Flash is alsp great to bling someone for a moment if you need it for that as well.
Pros: Bright, Durable, & Easy to Use
Cons: Switch from Bright to Flash

This light is very bright and with a focusable beam to spot or flood, it's a winner! The cost is very reasonable compared to other lights with the features of this light. It might be slightly heavy due to the 4 D cell batteries, but nothing that heavy for the amount of light it puts out. It does come with a carrying strap if weight is an issue. It is a well built light and I love it!
Pros: No special batteries(D cell), Extremely bright, Focusable
Cons: None

This is an amazingly bright flashlight! I have a Terralux 600 lumen bulb for my 4D Maglight and This HP21 blows it away! When I looked at the original packaging (no users manual), it said that I shouldn't mix alkaline, nicad, nimh, or lithium batteries. After trying the 4 alkaline batteries with good results, I inserted 4 Tenergy 10,000 mah batteries and ended up frying my light. (Im quite sure this light is unregulated) I called Coast and told them what I had done. They though that I had a defective light. I got a replacement, and this time after reading some advice on the internet and speaking to someone at Coast, I inserted 3 of the Tenergy 10,000mah regargeable batteries and a D-cell spacer, and have not had any problems. The HP21 is actually a little brighter with the 3 Tenergy 10000mah batteries than it was with the 4 alkaline batteries! I believe my hp21 is actually brighter than the headlights on my 2002 Ford Taurus! After comparing it to my Brinkman 3 million CP Spotlight, i think that if the HP21 focused down as tight as the Brinkman, it would be close to as bright. Im a very happy customer!
Pros: Very bright with 3 rechargeable batteries!
Cons: It doesnt focus down as much as I would like. I guess if it did, it would be a spotlight!
