Came with a chip un the blade
I was hoping that i would put the first "HARD USE" mark on my new Recon 1 but unfortunately � it came with one. I am very disappointed. As an aside, if you have weak hands, the Triad lock is going to be a bear to close the knife until it gets worked in a bit. This knife is a beast but folds up to a well managed workhorse that looks so cool!

Great knife difficult to disengage lock
Overall the knife is fantastic but is very difficult to close after lock is engaged , I’ve read multiple reviews where it supposedly gets better after use but I have yet to experience this , it will make me hesitate to buy this brand with this type of locking mechanism in the future

Definitely a beast
I purchased the plain edge spear point to retire my vintage Cold Steels. First, knife comes bone dry. It definitely helps to lubricate. Secondly, I think the new version of the Tri-ad lock is cut a little deeper than early versions, meaning you have to push release in further. Yes, it will loosen up. While not as freakishly sharp as my other CS knives, it's still hair clipping sharp, so watch out. Got my first cut already.
