I own other C.S. products, but I didn't know this knife was made overseas now, will not buy cold steel again if this is gonna be the case. And was not spelled out in the ad either,I was disappointed w/ cold steel for making product overseas.

I purchased this knife for my nephew, just graduated from ROTC for the Navy And is going to flight school. He was excited to receive the gift and is going to attach it to his flight vest.
Pros:

I always go with cold steel!

Like the title says, I am a huge fan of Cold Steel's products. I have one of their Man at Arms series Messers on my tac vest, but I still needed an actual knife for my kit. This knife fills that role beautifully! it's the perfect size and shape, and fits perfectly in your hand. The canvas belt loop in able to either be moved further down the sheath or removed. Just keep in mind, like with everything that cold steel ships out, the blade is covered in thick grease.
Pros:
  • perfect size, sleek, simple, good sheath
Cons:
  • shipped in grease
Best Used for:
  • utilitarian purposes, but would make a decent combat knife in a pinch.

My thoughts on the srk

I was a bit surprised when I found it was made overseas but the workmanship was flawless and you couldn't beat the price. Blade came very sharp and then life gives you parents I'm being able to take a lot of use and abuse. Scabbard was well-built and functional
