First of all, I want you to know that I am a bona fide purchaser of the Crimson Trace Red Laser Grip LG-409. I purchased this laser grip from Optics Planet on 2/5/17.
I also want you to know that I have owned Crimson Trace Laser grips for many years and that I own a total of nine Crimson Trace Red Laser Grips on my pistols and on one revolver. At least five of my carry guns have laser grips. So those are my credentials.
I have never had any problems or issues with these grips, until this one.
When I first installed the grip on my Kimber Micro Raptor 9 mm, I expected it to function without any problems just like the previous eight laser grips. So, I took it to the range to try it out and to zero it in, if necessary. The laser functioned as it should, that is until I turned it off and wanted to shoot using the iron sights on the gun. What I noticed, after shooting several rounds, was that the laser would come on by itself. Some how, the on/off switch was being bumped by my left, support hand and moved to the ‘on position’. I tested it again and turned it off and shot again holding the gun with two hands. The same thing happened again. I didn’t understand it. I had never had this problem with any of my other laser grips. I tried shooting by holding the gun one handed and the problem did not occur. So I concluded that the switch may not be moving because of the vibration from the recoil, but rather somehow being physically moved. I tried gripping the gun differen...
