This is a great product. There is a trick to installing it on the Kimber micro 380 Bel Air model. One side fits fine, just screw it into the factory stud. On the other side, you must removed the factory stud (just carefully unscrew it from the threaded hole). Now re install the stud into the other, lower threaded hole. Now the laser grip panel will screw in.

I purchased this laser for a carry pistol. It fits the Kimber Micro 380 perfectly. The laser grip weighs 0.8 ounces so it adds less than 1/2 an ounce versus the original grips. The activation button is placed where the laser turns on with a natural hold. No thought about hand placement is required. The red laser is very bright and is a great enhancement to a fine weapon.

Crimson Trace provides no instructions on how to mount this on the Kimber Micro 380 Bel Air model.
The mounting studs that are on the gun can be moved to another threaded hole that is present on the gun.
On the left side, side, the laser grip half fits the factory positioned studs.
On the right side, you have to carefully remove the upper stud from the original upper position and screw it into the lower, already threaded hole in the frame of the pistol.
Now the laser grip on that side will simply screw into the stud in the new position.
Someone should make a you tube video detailing this hack.
It took me a long time to puzzle it out.
I only found out after reading another reviewers comment.
Pros:
- Greatly improves aim, especially from unorthodox shooting position, even while running and sho
- Improves aim.Allows unorthodox shooting positions.
Cons:
- No instructions on moving mounting stud on Bel Air model

This is my 6th pair of these grips. I’ve used them on multiple firearms over the years and I remain extremely pleased with them. Excellent product combined with excellent service from Optics Planet!

These lasergrips don't last very long. Especially if you are going to carry the firearm often. The rubber covering the switch split and the laser stopped working. Crimson Trace won't repair or replace the grips. They only offered a 50% discount off retail which is nearly what I purchased them for. At this price point the product should come with a lifetime warranty.
Pros:
- laser activates when you grip the pistol.
Cons:
- Cheaply made - Not worth the $

The Kimber 380 CDP came with the Crimson Trace grips already installed. It is such a pretty little gun. It's had no more that 2 boxes of ammo shot through it. The gun mostly sat in the safe for about 4 years. The laser sight quit working so I replaced the batteries. It still doesn't work. I called Kimber who told me to call Crimson Trace. Crimson trace said they are warranted for 3 years and mine were out of warranty. They offered to sell me another set of laser grips for 1/2 off retail.
My problem is the Micro 380 is a small gun and the light beam is blocked by my finger. Unless you consciously hold a lower grip, the laser isn't much use. To pay $350 for a grip with a 3-year warranty and doesn't quite work, I'll go back to a regular grip. I think the gun is too small for that type of grip. I would expect something more robust for $350.
Cons:
- Expensive
- Three-year warranty
- Short life expectancy
- Hand/finger blocks beam on Kimber micro

Bought this for my wife's .380. She's a relatively new shooter and this instantly boosted her enthusiasm and confidence. This my 3rd Crimson Trace laser grip. Several years ago, I bought laser grips for my 1911 and Browning Hi Power. After hundreds of rounds each, I've never had a problem with function or holding zero. Great product, reasonable price, and Optics Planet processed and shipped my order quickly.
Pros:
- Front activation button is absolutely the way to go
- Also very easy to install.

I read some of the reviews about these grips so I knew that you had to move the grip stud to the lower position! So I actually timed myself installing my new grips! 3 minutes 40 seconds and I was taking my time! The factory set the laser dead on so I didn't have to adjust windage or elavation! Delivery was also faster than I expected. So far so good!
