Most Helpful Positive Review Great for CA
These mags were awesome! I tried a friends set and loved them so much I had to get myself a few. Shot over 500 rounds of 556 and 223 with no issues. You can configure how you flip the mag. I would recommend these mags to anyone in CA.
Most Helpful Negative Review Sharp edge
These are nice accept the sharp edges that sliced my thumb while loading them. I suggest using some light sandpaper the remove the sharp edges before loading. The look really cool mag design. They also allow different set ups. A simple twist breaks them apart

Great idea, product needs a redesign

by Mark C, from CA, United States Written on September 7, 2025
Living in California, I figured these would be great as you can quickly change out an empty magazine with a full one (full as in only ten rounds unfortunately for us behind enemy lines). The design is great as you can connect two different ways depending on your reload preference. However, if you use these mags to leave full in order to stage for defensive use, I had three individual magazines crack along the side edge a bit over a year of ownership and had them replaced under warranty. However, I just used the replacements today in an AR class and had multiple double feeds and failure to feeds with multiple magazines (I know as I have them individually numbered). Once I switched to my HEX mags, the issue never happened again, so my conclusion is the feed lips are a bit out of spec. So, again great idea, but poor execution. If you want to train random malfunction drills, pick up a couple. Otherwise, stick with Magpul or HEX Mag 10/30 magazines.
Pros:
  • Design
Cons:
  • unrealiable
Best Used for:
  • malfunction drills

Great Producted

by Johnny, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on September 26, 2024
Well built. A nice option, but a bit pricey. You get a 10/10 couple mag in the same form factor of a 10/30 rd mag. Great if you just like to comply with any laws*, even though they suck. The laws suck :)

Hard to find in Cali.

by Richard G, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on April 26, 2024
I’ve been looking for this type of magazine and no one has it. I’ve asked at big box gun shops and small independent shops. I usually get the same response “ I know what you’re talking about…I just need to find a reliable make/model. What most shops carry is the side by side coupled mags I wanted this exact model. I took a chance and order this on optics plant and I’m happy to report it cycles very well in my S&W MP15 Sport 2 AR-15. Everyone that lives in California or other magazine restricted states needs this because it lets you carry essentially two mags at all times with just a flip of the magazine.
Pros:
  • Inexpencive
  • Reliabe
Cons:
  • None

AR15 Coupling Magazine

by Juan Campas, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on March 11, 2023
I purchased 3 magazines and they came in at a reasonable time. They all fit my rifle perfectly. I live in California so the extra 10 rounds is a bonus. The prices on these is well worth it. Will purchase more of these in the near future !

broken after 5 months of use

by Robert Shields, from CA, United States Written on August 3, 2021
One of the these magazines will no longer hold ammunition because it split down the backbone of the magazine, the second is showing the same type of signs down the back bone. I will try to super glue up the cracks but for the money go with the hex mags they are very resilient

Much better than 10/30 mags

by Greg, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on June 3, 2021
Allows clearing of misfeed. Break it apart and pop open the baseplate to clear jams. Much safer than Pinned or glued mags. Clear looks awesome. It holds rounds upside down. For restricted states, this is the way to go.
