If you plan to build a 6.5 creedmoor, read this review!!! - Cryptic .308 WIN/7.62x51mm/6.5 Creedmoor Bolt Carrier Group (BCG) - Complete

I am new to large caliber rifles (AR10/308) so please do your own research. This review is intended to help newbies like me get moving in the right direction. I gave this two stars because the listing on this website is WRONG and must be addressed with Optics Planet and Cryptic Coatings as soon as possible! PK, here is my story....
I purchased the CC-0205 model (listed as "Cryptic Bolt Carrier Group BCG - Complete, .308 WIN/7.62x51mm/6.5 Creedmoor, Nickel Boron, CC-0205") because Optics Planet ("OP", hereafter) has this listed as compatible with 6.5, as you can see from this listing). I built an (all) Aero Precision M5 rifle and added this BCG to the build along with the JP Enterprises SCS10 buffer system and when firing the rifle, I experienced light strikes over 60% of rounds fired, and when the rifle actually did fire a round, it would not eject the casings - EVER. I initially thought the issue was that I was not getting enough gas (I'm using a Superlative Arms Adjustable Block) and possibly a headspacing issue so I tore down my rifle, checked my barrel timing and Gas Block setting (double checked 4.5 Revolutions) and still no dice. I moved from the gas to the buffer system so I changed the JPSCS10 to a standard AR15 spring and buffer and it ejected one casing out of 12 rounds fired. That's when I started to research online and found a forum thread where a guy mentioned that the BCG for .308 *is* different from the 6.5 CR's BCG. Turns out that it has DUAL ejectors AND a smaller diameter firing pin than its .308 counterpart. From there, I went back to Cryptic Coating's website and discovered that they actually sell two different BCGs per chambered load (.308 and 6.5CR), I also read through the FAQ on their website and it confirmed that the 6.5CR will experience both light strikes and ejection failures with a .308 BCG. Oh, and by the way, the Cryptics BCG that I ordered from OP came in packaging that makes NO mention of 6.5 CR - it only lists compatibility with .308 Win and 7.62x51mm.
What was my remedy? I ordered a 6.5CR BCG directly from Cryptic Coatings website, it arrived in two days direct from them, then I put the JPSCS10 silent capture system back in my 6.5CR rifle, swapped out the CC-0205 BCG with the new (almost too BEAUTIFUL to shoot with and freakin' slick in the hands) 6.5 CR BCG (after lubing it up) and fired 30 rounds at 2 second intervals (two 10-round mags) with NO failures and PERFECT dimples in the primers every single time. I sent an email to Cryptic asking them to contact OP and CHANGE the listing for this product on their website to prevent this from happening to other builders. OP also needs a new SKU specifically for 6.5 Creedmoor because this BCG is not available at OP as I have confirmed. This was an expensive mistake for me but I will keep this .308 BCG for a future build and I hope this review helps others. By the way, I love Cryptic's Coatings, the build quality is off the charts and the cleaning and aesthetics of their products are amazing! Their 6.5 CR came complete, lightly lubbed and fully assembled. I highly recommend their product but if you are building 6.5CR and you are looking for a BCG for said rifle, you need to discuss this with OP directly prior to purchase or do what I did and buy direct from Cryptic until OP changes their website descriptions, SKUs and offers the correct product, in collaboration with Cryptic Coatings.
