High amount of parallax. poor selection of brightness levels. - DI Optical FC1 Red Dot Sight

Looks cool. Maybe a tough unit. But parallax is unusually high compared to any other red dot I've used. There are 7 daytime brightness settings, but some are barely different than the setting above it. I would say it has about 3 useable settings. Parallax is about 6 inches at 50 yards across the viewing area side-to-side. My other RDS (Sig Saur) have about 2 inches. Parallax is especially worse on the left side of view. Parallax is similar in the vertical as well. This is the second unit I've had. First went back because level 2 was missing altogether. Sometimes it would come on, but it was dimmer than level 1. All in all, I have to say this is a failure. I would return it if they would let me. Just recently noticed it was difficult to get sighted in. Thats when I took notice of the parallax. A huge waste of money. It is a rather pricey unit. I expected a lot more.
