I attached this to a DoubleStar receiver block along with a triangle stock on an AK. I also later gave it a spin with a pig nose adapter I bought that I slapped an AR buffer tube and stock to. Both applications worked pretty well. One other really cool aspect with these ACE hinges is that it looks like they will clear any optics you may be running on your gun when you use their triangle stock, however I've yet to be able to test this as I currently don't own any. My only complaint with this is that there is a little bit of play to it when it's open, however that can easily be removed by applying some rubber or industrial grip tape inside the mechanism.

This adapter works as intended when used with a brace or stock. It locks in both positions open and folded. Although, there is slight movement in the folded position. Lock up in the open position is firm. I'm hoping it stays the same after repeated use. Will purchase another one to keep as a spare. Would have even 5 stars if it wasn't for for slight movement in folded lock up position.

This product is super solid and have that positive click. Product is made out of steel, one the of the best folding mechanism I've tried. You will need to pair this with something like a KGB stinger, and gearhead tail hook mod1.

Great product almost all the way around. Seems very robust. Locks in both the open and closed positions, requiring the button to be pressed in both manners. My only gripe is that there is a little smidge of play in the locked open position. When you shoulder your stock, there is minimal movement to the left and right from the lock up mechanism. No movement vertically, but if you want an ACE style stock that is devoid of movement, just install that directly and skip the ability to fold. When it comes to range and training class use, the adapter works great. If you're really trying to do some surgical precision work at longer ranges, the movement in the stock will not help you in that department. I bought the 8.5 inch ACE skeleton stock to attach to my Yugo M70, which I would never hope effective out to those extended ranges where stock movement would be impacted anyway, but it's something to not if you're trying to mount this stock option on a platform more suited for long range accuracy. All in all, I like it. I know it wouldn't break if I had to mortar the gun during malfunction clearings like I had to worry about with my Zhukov stock, or if you had to remove your enemy's teeth in an up close and personal encounter. I believe it can take some abuse, but only more time will tell. After a few classes, I'll come back and report my finding. I also use red loctite on basically everything, so hopefully nothing every backs out or gets loose.

I USED THIS ITEM ON 3 DIFFERENT AK'S FOR FOLDING STOCKS & IT WORKED OUT PERFECT - IT CAN BE USED FOR LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE FOLDING - NICE FINISH & WORKS SMOOTH - I USED 3 DIFFERENT TYPES OF BILLET STOCKS FROM 3 DIFFERENT SUPPLIERS 10/32 & EACH WORKED FINE...THE PUSH BUTTON TYPE IS THE ONLY WAY TOO GO (comes with a set of screws)...!
