Got this for my Glock 20 Gen 4 10mm, can say that it tamed recoil more than I thought it would. Put in the heavier/longer spring, made it faster to get back on target and best part, after 5 full 15 round mags, neither wrist or hand was sore, just a s...eating grin for how it handles with this.
Glock 17 Gen 4 Recoil Reduction System
Helps to manage recoil. Works perfectly. But not as easy to install as the OEM recoil spring. Also it comes with different springs so you can switch them around to find what works best for you.

Spring upgrade on Glock 20
Replaced the factory Glock guide rod and springs. Is slightly better recoil wise but way easier to change the springs if you need to
Pros:
- Easy to replace
Cons:
- Has to have a little buffer on the end that is easily lost
Would recommend: Yes
did not work for me
The outside package says Glock 21 gen 4 full size which is what I have but opening package they list Glock 21 and all others SF which means "SMALL FRAME" This spring is an awesome idea but when I installed the slide would only rack halfway and very tight thats when I saw SF so Im guessing this spring is shorter to accommodate the small frame model too bad I was excited to try and it is a bit pricey but looks very well made good luck!
Pros:
- looks very well made ,quality
Cons:
- pricey did not fit my weapon
Best Used for:
- "small frame Glocks"

would not work
The listing states for Glock 21 .45 Gen 4 but it adds SF which is “small frame” I have a full size G-21 this spring no matter which spring I tried would not compress all the way in my gun I could only rack the slide half way at the most very disappointed the whole theory off this part is solid in design I wish it would have worked I had to return and go with NDZ 17lb works nice
Pros:
- Great design & sturdy build
Cons:
- None

Great for recoil reduction
I bought this for my new Glock 41. The stock guns recoil and trigger slap are pretty bad compared to other similar 45 acp. I was disappointed about the options available. This product definitely took care of the recoil problem but the gun doesn’t cycle. Instructions for the 41 model don’t seem to exist. They do send 2 washers and 3 springs so it’s a trial and error scenario. I have a few more combinations to try so hopefully one of them allows the gun to cycle properly. Wish I could find some instructions that explain which washer and spring is for the Glock 41 .45 acp but as for recoil reduction it is as advertised.
Pros:
- Recoil Reduction
Cons:
- Instructions lacking
Best Used for:
- Recoil Reduction

Recoil reduction
Takes a little work getting the spring compacted but once installed the results are great! Will definitely buy another for other gun modles.

Recoil Reduction
Always wanted a 10mm to use for outdoor defense but found the recoil a bit much for someone with carpal tunnel. This is an awesome way to reduce that recoil on higher powered weapons. I imagine that for sport shooters it would definitely help getting back on target after every shot….great buy!

Works great in Glock Gen5
Not my first DPM recoil spring, but first in a Glock 19. Works great in both my Glock 19 gen 5 and Shadow Systems MR920. "Recoil reduction" is sort of misleading, since a spring can't overcome the physics of how much energy is actually produced in recoil. That said, the spring design to progressively slow down the slide does *feel* less "snappy" since it hits back at a slightly lower velocity than the stock Glock or Shadow systems spring. The included buffers and springs are a nice touch for being able to tune to different calibers or specific loads, but the recommended configuration works great for me. Any time I'm ready to replace a recoil assembly and I've got the cash I'll usually opt for a DPM as an upgrade.
Pros:
- reliable
- Reduces *felt* recoil
Cons:
- Expensive

Perfect for what I need!
I love the product, but my only complaint is that they forgot to include my apartment number on the shipping label. This led to it being taken to the post office and almost sent back/returned without delivery. I would recommend it!
Pros:
- sturdy, well built
Cons:
- apartment number not included
Best Used for:
- Gun parts

Heck yes I highly recommend this!
I purchased the DPM recoil system for my Glock G20 because I thought it would help reduce the recoil and produce better follow-up shots and that's exactly what it did! After trying heavier springs on third generation rods and captured spring assemblies I find this to be the absolute best by far! My 10 mm feels like it has the recoil of a 9 mm now and my follow-up shots are much more accurate and quicker. It is money well spent!
Pros:
- Faster follow-up shots. Let's recoil. Safer for the frame.
Cons:
- price
Best Used for:
- Anything!
