Most Helpful Positive Review The recoil reduction is real
As the title states, the spring system does reduce the recoil of the P365XL. If you use +p defensive ammo, this will help reduce muzzle flip, give you slightly faster follow up, and help to reduce the chance of developing a flinch from using hot ammo like Underwood or Buffalo Bore. My preferred setu...

Most Helpful Negative Review Not for this gun.
This thing left shavings and scuff marks under my barrel. Is not contoured correctly where is seats on the barrel and the two piece design is too big for the tight clearance of this gun, now I have embedded shavings in my feed ramp. Thanks, will be repairing my feed ramp for hours smoothing it out. ...

P229 with AC Comp, Pro Slide and DPM

by Edward Ritchotte Jr, Verified Owner from RI, United States Written on May 24, 2024
Chose this product after having a few fail to eject jams in my P229 Legion with Pro Slide and Armory Craft compensator with the stock guide rod and 15# spring. This thing now eats up 124gr Winchester white box with ease, and will eject the 115gr as well, only not as consistently as the 124. My 9mm P229 now feels like shooting my P322!

DPM recoil kit for the Sig Sauer P365XL with pmm comp/barrel

by Mac10mike, from WV, United States Written on March 15, 2023
Well I started this build with the nra p365xl and went wild starting with a wilson combat grip module with 3 titanium grip weights, parker mountain machine jttc compensator and barrel, Mcarbo flat face adjustable trigger,Mcarbo titanium striker w/ 3 pound striker spring, holoson 507k m.r.s., tyrant cnc gold ext mag. Release slide catch back plate and fcu pin, streamlight tlr-7 sub light and tactical development 15 rd wilson combat mag base pads so after all that i get this thing shooting flat And fast!!!!!! BUT every 5th round or so i would get a stovepipe or failure to extract and this is where the DPM Recoil management system comes into play with the fine tuning off all the other b.s. i did. This DPM kit feels like it was maid for the parker mountain machine compensator and barrel combo it was the fine tuning this build needed. Honestly this thing would be reliable without it. I will say this every firearm i own will have one of these kits in it.
Pros:
  • Ease of use
  • Quality
  • adaptability
  • fine tuning
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • EDC
  • comp shooting 3 gun or target
  • Comp shooting and home defense

Gets the job done!

by SureShotMike, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on January 25, 2023
Here's what everyone needs to know. It does reduce felt recoil, but not as much as you think. This springs dont equate to a compensator install. But shortest spring (lightest recoil) to longest spring (heavier recoil, but not as heavy as your OEM spring). I went to the range and tried them all out. I went through so much ammo haha. In addition, the slide is easier to rack with the shortest spring. All springs cycle 115 gr loads and higher from my testing. I gave this review 4 stars because they should clearly outline which spring is less recoil and which spring provides more recoil. This is a recoil reduction kit after all.

Better than factory spring

by Lower recoil for p365 XL, from OK, United States Written on January 4, 2023
This recoil spring slightly lowers the recoil of the p365 XL. This is good if you don’t want to buy the new X macro. Buy the X Macro grip module and upgrade the recoil spring! The X macro grip works with the XL slide.

The Perfect fit

by Heez, from FL, United States Written on November 17, 2022
I see why this was titled a must have when i initially came across it on Optics planet. Only pet pieve is that it scratches up my match grade barrel which i dont appreciate. Looking for a solid work around that now but as soon as I find one, you guys will be the first ones to know
