Definitely keeps the gun flat.
I always had an issue with my Echelon being accurate. It was most likely me. But this set up really helped me tighten up my groups. Especially when shooting at a faster pace. If DPM makes a system for a gun I own I buy one. Hands down.
GET THIS FOR YOUR ECHELON
I was actually surprised by this thing. I’ve been shooting pistols for years and have tried many guide rod components across various platforms and models, this one was a reliable-first-time drop in. It comes for 4 springs of various lengths and 2 end caps, I used the shorter end cap and the shortest spring. The slide was super easy to rack and the impulse was really smooth running 115gr S&B + Herter’s. I ran about 100 rounds with no malfunction across the 2 shortest springs, currently sticking with the shortest spring because I like how easy it was to manipulate the slide. Highly recommend this if you’re looking to tune your recoil impulse and cycling over the stock guide rod.
